I've been reading through the comps section for the past few days and have gathered a bunch of great information. But I have yet to come across anything that deals closely with my particular gambling habits. On a normal day in Vegas, I'll play 3 card poker for between 8 to 10 hours, betting $25 per hand ($10 on bet, $10 on pair plus, and $5 on 6 card bonus). If I go through $200 or $300 with out any type of win, I'll change tables. I'll play a little mixture of penny slots ($3 per spin), video poker ($5 per hand), and various table games in the meantime. I'm a total rewards platinum card holder. Is this level of play even close to getting a host's attention? I can always get comped 3 nights at flamingo or ballys. Is that all I should expect for my level of play? Maybe too much info... But I guess what I'm really asking is how I'm being rated for my play at the 3 card tables.
I'm gonna say low. I haven't been for 2yrs and I'm comped for 5 days in Oct. I think the biggest problem with tables is getting the #'s right. You are best to ask when you leave to make sure they have you marked properly.
I'm not a comp expert, but I feel like you should get more, but CET historically screws table players over.
your play and my play are very similar. However I play a lot of BJ as well & between my husband and I, we get pretty much everything taken off of our bill at the backend of the trip. We just make sure that were eating at the Flamingo most of the time, charge everything to the room and then have a host check out our play when we leave. I think the last trip we have over $400 in charges to our room that were comped off. How were being rated tho, I have no clue. I know they say average bet Xs time played but I am not sure if for 3 card they do say $25 or $10. Great question, I never thought to ask.
Average bet is fairly low, but 8-10 hours is long enough to generate some theo. You will not be assigned a host at your level of play, but you can still go to the diamond check in at the end of your trip and ask to see a host of duty. Just say you'd like to have your play reviewed to see if you qualify for any additional comps. Make sure you charge everything you can to your room, and you should get some or all of those charges taken off your bill.
I've played Three-Card-Poker for around 6 hours at $50/hand (at PH they include the Play Bet also; $15 Pair-Plus, $15 Ante, $15 Play regardless of playing or folding, and $5 Bonus). That earns me a little over 1,000 tier credits. Basically, the amount of play (average bet, time, and type of game) that earns me a little over 1,000 tier credits/day gets me free stay and Free-Play worth around $200 to $300 per visit (4 nights). If I were to make the reservations on-line, I can only get a regular room with the Free-Play. The casino host is able to upgrade my room to a Vista Room at PH and also include my Free-Play offer. I'm a Diamond player, but typically, it's not the tier-level that sets what you can get; it's your Average Daily Theo.
