Noticed that only 25,000 points are being offered instead of 50,000 for a sign up. Is this really the case?
I'm not doubting, but looking for verification from knowledgeable T2Vers before jumping on board.

It seems to vary from time to time. In the past, they alternate between 25k and 50k--with some minimum purchases within the first few months. If you are not in a real bind, I'd wait and see if they don't offer the larger points over the next few months.

I agree. It really does vary from time to time. I checked on it a couple of weeks ago and it was 50,000 points. but I have checked at other times and was 25,000.
So, just check every week. You should find the 50,000 points.

I actually called when I got the 25,000 offer with the card and they set it up for the 50,000 offer instead. Still sitting on my miles as the Vegas escape emergency travel bank.

My understanding is that they have two offers.. the 25,000 points card is an annual fee of 69.00.... the 50,000 points card offer is a card with a higher limit and is a 99.00 annual fee

Not really, you can get either the Plus ($69) or Premier ($99) card with the 50k offer just depends what they are offering at the time. I have had the plus, premier, and business plus card all gave me the 50k offer.

I got the 60,000 business card 3 months ago. Don't know if still out there. Also have the 50,000, but they only gave me 25,000 which they said I signed up for. They changed it to 50,000 with a call. Now with both I have over 110,000 miles, good for the companion pass through 2016

The 50,000 offer expired at the end of June, now it's just 25,000. There are two consumer and one business card offered, all are 25K. The 50K will be back at some point or as stated above you can call them and they might give it to you anyway.

    Thanks for the link.
I applied for the card on Monday, July 13 and received the card in the mail today.
When I called to activate it, I asked the agent about my promo and she verified the 50,000 mile ($2000 within 3 month usage required).

    Thanks again,
    bruce

My girlfriend and I both applied this week too. We had been talking about it and then saw it was reduced to 25K. Now that we had a way to get the 50 we jumped on it

Ditto for me. Applied Monday and got it in mail on Friday. By that afternoon, put the mandatory $2K on it and will patiently wait for the 50,000 points.

That's the worst part, waiting for the statement to close.

How long after hitting the spending minimum does it usually take for the points to hit?

When the statement generates usually 2-3 days later.
