    My Trip Report

    Heading for the semi-annual pilgrimmage.

Booked the JetBlue non-stop at a good price ($195) back in February. Bought the extra leg room option and then made a chess move earlier this week when the 2 seats beside me filled in. I called and moved back a row. So now should have a empty middle seat and an empty seat in front of me.

    SeatChange_zpsleneol71.jpg

2 nights comped at MGM with $175 Freeplay which I'll probably use in the HL room on a $25 machine or whatever has the best paytable.

5 nights at Cosmo in a Terrace Suite via a combination of comp + upgrade fees. I had had a reservation for a Terrace Suite for 4 nights at a 33% discount via the website. I decided to add a night on the front end using a 1 night Sterling level comp, but the reservations agent ended up doing jiu jitsu with various comps and AAA rates and upgrade fees and got me 5 nights for $100 less than I was paying for 4 - ended up being $200 a night.

6 nights at Caesars, 5 comped and 1 @ $99. $200 Freeplay which will go to a $100 machine in HL that I'm 2-0 lifetime on (won 5 credits on a single spin each time).

The nights at MGM are a warm up, Cosmo I'll be semi-hanging with people I know, and then slide into degen at Caesars.

This trip will probably be mostly slots, a little STP if I can find a good pay table, come craps and maybe try Pai Gow.

Had 2 handpays the last 2 trips ($12,000 and $3,600) and really favorable variance, hoping it stays that way.

Only thing I'm anchored to is Zumanity mid-week.

I don't normally take notice of game conditions for games I don't play, or changes at properties but if anybody has specific questions while I'm at these properties I'll definitely check them out.

    And away we go...

OK, bad start. Somehow left a pair of bifocals at the boarding area in BOS, didn't discover it until after they shut the door.

I need em for craps and menus. Was able to make an appointment on the plane for an eye exam at Fashion Show Mall (holy crap what a cluster that place is). Just got back with the new set. Feeling a little lucky it only ended up being a 4 hour detour. 3 car accident at Trop & the Strip a few minutes before the cab got there I hopped out of the cab at Excal and hoofed it.

Checked in to MGM at noon, only thing they had for smoking rooms was West Wing, so here I am, only two nights, I can live with it. No windows, no minibar.

Haven't placed a bet or had a proper drink yet. About to change that situation with extreme prejudice.

Went over to Davinci Diamonds, it's very streaky, was up early ($3.125 buy in) but down overall.
    DavinciBonus.jpg

After getting sick of Davinci, found a $10 craps table that was hot and cold, $1,000 buy in, played from 6:30 until 11:00, lost $5.

The degen kicked in early while the craps table was quiet, got covered a few times to take a piss break and went back to that $25 machine to make it my bitch and you know how that works out. It seems like every trip there's this little illusion that just because you treated a slot with respect, didn't try to stick your dick in it, that it will treat you nice back.

It's not the case, so you might as well fuck that machine good.

I just spent an hour running the numbers and none of the MLife numbers add up together, the ECs are too high compared to the base points; I think they're running a special.

    Observations:

Great craps crew at MGM Grand and surprised at the $10 min through all Sat night.

Grand Wok is clearly using pre-packed food service stuff instead of making it fresh; I got way overserved the calamari and the beef in the Mongolian Beef was nice neat cubes instead of sliced.

    Overheard at Grand Wok
    "I recommend the sea bass"
    "What's the sea bass?"
    "It's like a big... a big fish."

West Wing: I don't care cause I'm only here for a couple of days as a warm up, but it's pretty much like marching up Margaret Thatcher's asshole.

That said, the ass here is TREMENDOUS

Love the video. Perhaps you need to make another video to loosen up that machine.

OK, so the Sunday morning session in the MGM Grand HL room went bad.

I was basically chasing, for no particular reason. Probably because the last two trips went so well. Plus adrenaline and booze.

I played Davinci at $40 a spin, and got slaughtered.

I'm too lazy to separate out the ECs I got from the long low min craps session, but ended up minus $3,000 on the equivalent of $14,000 coin-in, or 21.4%, not far from the historical average trip of 20%. So not horrible, but way more than I planned for at MGM.

Moved to Cosmo this morning, just wrapped a session on a 800/1,600 Double Diamond Deluxe $1 machine playing 2 coins.

No porn yet. A few $100 and $80 wins to keep going. God even these simple slots feel streaky. Anyway, minus $486 on $5,000 coin in or about 10%, which isn't too bad. I didn't look at the payouts on BJ, but it seems pretty packed on all the tables for a Monday afternoon.

The average to bad variance continues so far.

A couple of more sessions on an 800/1,600 Double Diamond with about 20% loss rate.

Down about $2,500 at Cosmo on about $15,000 coin in.

Played a little of the big ass pennies with the two minute bonuses that pay $10. Insulting.

The big Deal or No Deal was actually fun though.

I definitely got spoiled by the last two trips, I'm always expecting something good now.

This is the closest I can offer to slot porn, lol:

Lol I put about 15k coin in on that deal or no deal slot at Cosmo last trip. I just wait for the Howie jackpot to get around $500 then smash that machine till I get it. Won 4 of them
