Excellent Wynn Buffet Promo -- Earn 500 points and get 2 comped buffets

I just returned from Vegas and stayed and played at Wynncore for 4 nights. There's been a daily slot tournament running for months. Anyone earning 500 points in a day can register to participate in the daily tournament. There are session prizes and the top prize for the final tournament, held each day, is $1500 in free play.

On July 1st, however, a new benefit was added. ALL persons who quality for the tournament by earning 500 points in a day ALSO automatically receive 2 coupons for the Wynn buffet. The coupons are good for breakfast, lunch or dinner and are good for 72 hours, with the exception of the holiday weekend. I earned the buffet coupons on July 2nd and DBueler and I had dinner at Wynn that night as the coupons couldn't have been used on Friday, July 3rd or Saturday, July 4th. Separately, I was able to get line passes based on my play, which was great as that meant a short wait in the buffet line.

Another promo is that anyone earning 1500 points within a week (or a day, but I think it's a week/can't remember), gets complimentary access to Surrender on the WEDNESDAY of that week. And anyone earning 10,000 points in a week gets admission I recall for four people (I'm doing this from memory), including a bottle of vodka and I believe a reserved table. Again, doing this from memory but I'm pretty sure there was a sign saying the promo was running until at least August 8th. I think the slot tournament will continue but I bet you while the MAGIC and other conventions are taking place, they may not do the free buffet promo, but I'm 99.99999999% sure it's running until at least August 8th.

What kind of coin-in is needed for 500 points?

 

I believe that it's $1.50/point for slots and $5-15/point for VP.

OP: Do you remember if they "took" your points when you got your buffet passes/tourney entry? Or did you get to keep your points and get the added benefits?

 

You keep the points!!!!! Also, Paperposter sent me a PM saying the buffet promo had been running for some time. (Thanks PP!) But, until July 1st when they announced some slight changes to the tournament (from needing to earn 500 points between 3 pm one day and 3 pm the next day to making it midnight to midnight) they hadn't said anything about getting two buffet comps for 500 points. If indeed it was going on for a while I'm a little annoyed as I put at least 500 points on my card each day I was there and the boothling never mentioned the promo. Ditto for the two days I played there during my April trip. It wasn't very hard to earn the 500 points.

They were doing this and the slot tourney since last November when I was there. I won my session of slot tourney for $500 fp that day. Also got 2 free buffet each day we were there.

 

Yeah, Paperposter told me it had been running for a while, but maybe it stopped for a minute and started again. I was at Encore in April and did the tourney and there was never any mention of buffets and during most of my stay at Encore last week there was no mention of buffets, not until when I went by the booth on July 1st. If it has been running continuously for a while I missed out on a slew of buffets that I would have used during 9-day trips in both April and last week.

In any event, as it is clearly not well advertised I wanted to pass on the good info. It is a great promo!

 

Too bad for me; just stayed at Wynn for 2 nights last week and definitely earned the 500 points each 24 hours - no one at the Red Card desk ever mentioned it and didn't see any signs ( though I wasn't looking). I did receive an email the day after my stay from a casino host offering me to give him a call for my next trip, so I guess I played enough to get someone's attention...

Lesson learned for me - from now on I will ask the desk what promo's they might have.

I also just did this...the 500 is VERY easy to hit. I also got a line pass, so if you put any significant coin-in I'm sure the slot pass would not be a problem. I was doing about 5k pts per day while I was there.

 

Does anyone know if this is still going on? I'll be there the first week of October and would take advantage of this if it's still available

This is a pic of the sign showing the Aug. 8 deadline but since paperposter says it's still going on, the details are probably similar. You receive the buffet passes when you sign up for the slot tournament so even if you skipped the tournament, the buffet passes should still be good for 72 hours.

Check for signs around the red card booths as that's where they advertise it.

I believe the Buffet is going to be closing for remodeling somewhere around the 22nd of October. When I called to book a show/buffet package for Nov. 2nd, that is what I was told.

 

Great. I'm there in 11 days. Hope to score a 2 fer 1 before the wife lands 1 days later! She has never been to the WYNN buffet before and it would be a nice start to our week in Vegas!
