Bossier City - 4th of July

So we just got our bags unpacked, clothes washed and it is time to head out again.

This is a last minute, what are we doing for the holiday trip. We will be driving to Bossier City on Friday but stopping to see my dear Sis on the way. She is in a nursing home but doing quite well. Just not able to live alone. So we visit a couple hours and continue on to Horseshoe Bossier City to win a Jaguar convertible (I wish) and spend a couple days. Since it is holiday, there are no offers showing up on line. Fortunately my good host was able to get us a room in less than a week and kicked in a independance day bash party and ample food credit. If only they could get Ciroc Peach in the bars, or lounge or my room.......

Route back is through Houston to visit more family, hit a fav restaurants, do some specialty grocery shopping and then head home. Got to break up the 6 to 7 hour trip with a little stop in the middle.

Just started packing and will finish tomorrow night. Looking forward to better luck than AC. I am working off the statistics thing, at some point there has to be a winner.

I'll be there this weekend too, but will get there tomorrow night. I will keep an eye on this report to see if we are ever in the same area. I stick to mostly VP, some low limit BJ tables for social aspect, eating at the bar at steakhouse, and the diamond lounge. Oh, and to win the Jag. lol.

 

We play mostly VP but branch out to slots some. If I am up I will get a dose of Miss Stud before we leave. Like to play the bar with the progressive at the entrance level and high limit. Hit the progressive last trip

 

I was considering heading up there too. But I'd be camped out at El Dorado or Sam's Town. Is the city still doing fireworks with the river being so high?

If you venture away from the casino and like beer, check out Great Raft Brewery. It's near where i49 and i20 meet. A high school friend of mine started it. If you need any random advice about the Port City let me know, I grew up there.

 

I don't know about the fireworks. We will be sure and check. We might stop at SAMs town on way in

 

I doubt we will venture out since it is a short trip but beer sounds good

 

By the time we decided to go, there were no rooms left at the Horseshoe so we are going next Thursday for a few days comped. If you find that one lucky machine or VP area, let me know.

 

Same here but my host was able to get me a room. We just decided to go a week or two ago. I will definitely let you know if one decides to give me a hand pay.

 

So itenerary is starting to come together.

Friday night - Four Winds and gamble onf 5x points
Saturday - Lunch at Jasmine, Independence day Bash but dont know the time or details. Dinner - depends on the bash, maybe Diamond lounge snacks. Win the Jaguar
Sunday - Early lunch at Jasmines and early dinner at steakhouse. Back to room by 6PM to watch Womens World Cup Finals
Monday - Head back

 

Do you know what time the steakhouse bar opens for food on Sunday?

 

Decided to forgo Shreveport....onward to Lake Charles!

We arrived about 5pm, checked in and went to get new cards since I forgot them. I played VP until dinner at six. Four winds was excellent as usual







Also got the complementary seven star bottle of wine but no photos.

 

After dinner, DW went to room due to smoke and I went to play. It was 5x points yesterday and I got 2500 TCs so lots of RC. Got one tax form which sucks since it was 1260 before tax. Much less after

 

After hitting the points, switched to $25 Miss Stud and played a for hours. Did well until the end and tanked. Probably three hours. Bed at four
