For me it is under 3 weeks.

That is when I begin thinking about what I will need to bring with me.

I begin packing 1 week before the departure date.

Right after I make my plane reservation. The excitement begins when I try to get everything booked and continues up to my trip.

A couple weeks after I get home I might check my offers and if there is anything good then I will start getting excited for the next trip.

Just about 2 months away and excited and it only increases especially with the wife counting down the number of days and number of working days.

We go only twice a year, usually April & October. The next trip is booked, at least the airfare, not too long after the previous trip is over. I think about the next trip a lot, but I mark my calendar for 6 weeks out. That's when my excitement gets serious and for some reason those last 6 weeks seem to go fast, thank goodness.

It usually takes me a week after I return from a trip and I am looking forward to the next one. My dates are already known, so I just start confirming flights, hotel and car rental. From there, it is 3 months of non-stop planning the itinerary.

I pack the night before I depart. My luggage is already primed from the previous trip with slot cards, curtain clips, drink tumbler, etc. I just throw in laptop/clothes/shoes/toiletries.

The Miso-Glazed Chilean Sea Bass at Tao is still one of my favorite dishes in Vegas. The last couple of times I went to Tao, we ordered a bunch of dishes and shared them family-style.

I normally get excited as soon as I book, but it's usually far in advance so I keep that excitement between me and the vegas voices in my head! Now that I'm under 3 weeks, the 'voices' are free, and are driving my husband crazy !!

I get excited when I boom, which is usually 3 months before I leave. I drive my wife nuts and she usually forbits me to count down until a month before departure.
    Only 22 more days!!!

My excitement has officially kicked in....so whatever my countdown timer says. My annual August trip went from six days to nine days.....with more family members joining us. This should be an interesting trip with 11 family members/friends invading the CAL.

A little Vegas depressed today. Tomorrow my son is leaving for five days in Vegas and then meeting us in Vegas for seven of the nights. It is painful that he would go to Vegas on my birthday without me....not fair.

For me it's as soon as another trip is booked , being from the UK we don't get back as often as we would like and generally have to book further out to allow planning . We are back February next year (flights booked in March) and I am way too excited already

Under 30 days and I can somewhat feel it, but the real excitement isn't until it's in the single digits.

While I am excited about my cruise in October, I am already planning my itinerary for Vegas in November (and February!). LOL!!!

I get excited when i book flights, (usually a few months out)
then again when I book hotel (usually two months out)
then the for real nerves and anxious starts about a week in a half out when i gotta double check work schedule, flying itinerary, shop for misc things, and start packing about a week out.
