Im heading to Atlantic City for the July 4th weekend and my host got me a room at Ballys since Caesars was sold out. I usually stay at Harrahs so I'm not familiar with Ballys rooms. We're a party of 4 and no longer into the clubbing scene. What are your inputs on the rooms and which towers to request/avoid?

    Thanks,

I'd roll into the Dennis Tower if I were in this scenario. You get oversized rooms in the smaller tower, and close to the Boardwalk for easy ingress/egress. Pretty quiet, especially if you're willing to be a little further from the elevator.

The Bally's Tower if you can get high up ocean side, the views can be spectacular depending on the weather etc. Plus all the rooms are close to elevator because the shape of the tower is an octagon. All the rooms are art deco.

The garden tower rooms are OK but a monster hike from anything.

We have only stayed in the Dennis Tower, this hotel was built in 1921, but renovated since then. :evillaugh. The rooms were fine, nothing fancy and were quiet. Take the elevator to the ground floor and you'll be at Harry's, grab a Dark and Stormy cocktail.

A $10 tip at check in usually gets you into a corner room in the Bally's tower(probably take a $20 4th of july weekend). We try never to stay in the Denis tower because you have to deal with the massive crowds in the main walkway whenever you want to use the elevators. Bally Tower elevators come out right at the casino edge by the cashier, they have nice baths, great views, short walks to elevators and ice. Plus you can get off the elevators at the 6th floor for dining, poker and other amenities, and you can then take the long escalator down into the casino. The Denis tower, while the rooms are ok, isn't very desirable in my mind. And the indoor pool in the tower has really nice private hot tubs and is far far better than the family pool in the Denis tower.
