    My Trip Report

Wish this was Vegas (my last Vegas TR was post 4500)...but this 5k post has some meat to it at least!

    _____________________________________________________________________________

Earlier this month, my girlfriend and I went to Cincinnati. First off, I planned to drop her off at Kings Island while I checked into the hotel and go meet Aaron5 at Horseshoe Cincinnati since I'm a pussy with rides.

Driving her to Kings Island was a bit of a mess because there were very few signs to direct you to the drop off area. We ended up actually having to pay for parking and then find the security station to get it refunded.

Here are some of her pics:

The Eiffel Tower in Vegas is wayyyy cooler.

Her dinner. A kid's meal with Skyline Chili, roughly $10. Prices were generally more expensive than the ballgame. She didn't get the hype for Skyline.

Difficulties dropping her off plus a detour to Jungle Jim's International Market (more about this later) put me behind and I actually watched American Pharoah win the Triple Crown in my hotel room. Thank God that chase is over. Wonder how much that will hurt horse racing.

I get to Horseshoe Cincinnati about 7:30 and I beat him slightly as he was attending the baseball game. The first beer I had for the trip was a Madtree Sprye. For a 5% beer, I thought it was very flavorful. When you tend to like 8%+ ABV beers, 5% beers seem pretty watery...oops

When he arrived, he was very cordial and offered to treat me to Bobby's Burger Palace. I ended up having a standard burger with a dark chocolate milkshake. the milkshake was great, one of the better ones I ever had, and the burger was good too but it was a little more charred than I hoped along the edges.

While there we had a nice chat about the forum, Vegas, and other gambling tidbits. He also gave me some good tips about how to use their hotel shuttle system to get closer to downtown and avoid parking. Unfortunately, I didn't have too much time to spend with him as I had to go pick up my girlfriend by 10 o'clock and it was a 25 min drive up I-71, ugh. Everything we did on our trip was VERY spread out. We almost drove the whole I-275 loop (minus 10ish miles) over the three days we were there (83.71 mile loop; the LONGEST in the country).

After a chaotic pick up at Kings Island we went back to the hotel for the night, and I had a couple more beers that I bought from Jungle Jims.

Good, but grapefruit is pretty masked...regular Sculpin is better:

Love the artwork on this, and I have liked everything I've tried from Uinta so far. Utah can really make some beer!

A local brew, Mt. Carmel. Nothing special. I felt this way about most Cincy brews, except Madtree Brewing. :(
    [IMG]

The hotel room overall look to be a much nicer hotel at one point, but unfortunately our room didn't smell very well and I think there was a decent amount of mold in it. Fortunately we only stayed there one night.

Now we drove back to Horseshoe Cincinnati, so we could take the hotel shuttle to pick up “I Love Lucy” tickets and walk to the baseball game. This worked out really well because Aaron's hotel, the 21C, was right across the street from the Performing Arts Center. So we acted like we were guests there.

From there we walked about six blocks to the stadium and enjoyed the game.

Here I had 2 more local brews, Rhineghist Truth and Madtree PsycHOPathy, both IPAs, the latter was the best local beer i had all weekend. I'll let pics and captions take care of the rest of the game.

A picture of “Big Boy” decked out in a Reds uniform. We would succumb to “Big Boy” later.

Cincy is holding the All Star Game this year. I hate to imagine how much our $15 Stubhub seats would cost for that game (retail for our game were already $49)...yikes!

Left that blurry pic in my g/f twitched on because it lead to this, 1-0 Reds!

And should I call that number...*scratches head* Homeruns were sponsored by Horseshoe.

See the ball to the left of the batter's shinpad...yeah, her Canon isn't too bad.

See that “Cincinnati Bowtie” in the background??? God, I'm horrible.

    Dugout.

Johnny Cueto, one of the best pitchers in the NL. We forgot to double check if the Reds got 11 strikeouts until it was too late. We would have got a free small pizza from LaRosa's pizza, a local place. They got 11, oops.

I'm guessing this might be where Aaron sat for the game the night before?

Terrible shot of scoreboard when Reds go up 4-0, I suck...lol

    Shots of outside of stadium:

After the game we unfortunately had a bit of a time crunch, so we left after the 7th. We couldn't decide on what if there was anything we wanted to eat downtown and I particularly wanted to check into our next hotel because if we didn't do it now it would be quite late before we did.

So we get back on the bus, get in the car, and go to our next hotel in Erlanger near the airport. It was a good thing we did check in when we did because the surly front desk person tried to pass off a smoking room on us.

    Drive to the hotel:

With all the shuttling to and from the airport hotel, we didn't have too much time left to eat. since my girlfriend didn't have it last night, I thought I would be a good idea to eat Bobby's Burger Palace again. This time I got a grilled chicken sandwich with cheddar on it and it was great. She really liked her Philly Burger as well.

So after that it was about 6 and time to go see "I Love Lucy", which my girlfriend's grandma got her into. Being cheap, we bought some seats very high up.

Given the overall performance though, that may have been the right call. I thought the show was ok; however, Ricky was harder to understand than Desi Arnaz himself. My girlfriend was bugged with Lucy having a southern accent. The show had nice comedic interludes during set changes by recreating many classic commercials.

After the show, we went to Fountain Square briefly based on a suggestion from our shuttle driver. I also wanted to go there anyway because for some odd reason I loved WKRP in Cincinnati as a child. so of course I had to take a picture of that fountain that is prominently displayed at the beginning of that show.

Also while we were there it apparently was 37 days exactly before the All Star Game. and we also ate ice cream at a local place and it was some of the sugariest ice cream I've ever ate.

    My pic...

    Her pic...fail...lol
    [IMG]

    The ice cream shop:

    The ice cream:

Now it was getting dark and most businesses were closed, including Walgreens, which I found creepy, so we thought it was best to get back on the bus and go to the Horseshoe and play for awhile. Here I had a Christian Morelein Civil Liberties IPA, which was alright and I had a Revolution Anti-Hero IPA from Chicago which was a little bit better. as far as wins at Horseshoe, my girlfriend did better than I did. Nothing good at quarters, so we really low-rolled it.

    Ultimate X hit for me:

Near $800 miss for her on 7/5 DDB w/DSTP (96.2% ugh)...she thought she was going to hit it because the machine gave about a 1/3 of a second delay before the final card...the one in 2 million shot for a 4X royal doesn't come through. :(
    [IMG]

Move to the 50-play pennies with STP...still 7/5 DDB (95.98%), but this time she quad 3s for 2000 pennies!

    I get 4 consecutive inside straights at 6/5 Bonus w/STP (97.14%)...Odd
    [IMG]

Phone pic from top of Shoe parking garage. Tons of banks here...

Now we headed back to the hotel and I had this beer.

Not bad but I hoped for better from Great Lakes Brewing. Hotel was nice except for that front desk staff. Airplanes in the morning (big surprise). But we get a call about 10:50. They hang up. Then they call again. They were making sure we were checking out. And my g/f said yes we were checking out, but the lady on the phone said a phrase, “I guess you're staying an extra day then”...Bitch. We checked out faster than we normally do.

Now we drive for the eastern part of that huge loop and head toward Belterra Park.

Around this time, she begins to notice the car is really hating these hills. We get to Belterra Park, which is owned by Pinnacle (River City, Ameristar, etc.), so we put in our mychoice cards in. No dice. Well...players cards aren't connected. We were able to parlay that into being “new members” there, and get either $10 slot play or a $20 food comp. We were hungry and knew River City's buffet was good, so we got the food comp. But not without some play first.

Nearly right away g/f hits this on some diamond mining game:

Eventually I settle up to the bar, and decide on a Great Lakes Burning River Pale Ale. Now currently in Ohio racinos, VP is not currently allowed. A bartender at the other racino we ended up visiting said they are trying to get that law changed. I hope so! But for now, I was joking with the hot young bartender about how annoying Caveman Keno is. Also seemed to be knowledgeable about beer. I decide to try a Great Lakes Burning River Pale Ale. Like their “Rye of the Tiger”, it was also a little disappointing. She said her favorite beer was Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale (or Stout?). I hope it was the stout because I tried the ale a few hours later at Jungle Jim's and was very disappointed. Also, apparently Belterra Park has the better keno paytable than the other racino we visited, but I couldn't hit shit.

Eventually my g/f wants to go eat, and so we did. But not before she shows me another pic...
    >100X win...Again!

Then I randomly play a wonder 4 next to her, and we hit these 2 seconds apart. I'm the buffalo that look like yellow blobs...

The buffet was definitely a good choice. I forgot how good Pinnacle's fried chicken was! Mashed potatoes and their desserts were great too!

Now at this point, we still have $2 each of free slot play left.

I think Aaron is luckier at Prowling Panther than I am:

But I only lost a few bucks overall...meh

By the time it was said and done, she turned $70 into:

Get to the parking lot. G/f can't start the car. I turn the key and get it to go, but it's really weak. But we press on anyway. Now to the other Jungle Jim's in town, in Eastgate. G/f was just as amazed by this place as I was. Totally kitschy and massive.

Shot of Vegas news report of the bathroom...lol
    [IMG]

I wanted to come to this location because they had even a bigger beer selection!!! And they had 40 beers on tap, and offered samples for a quarter each!

Samples I tried at either Jungle Jim location.

The Brew Kettle White Rajah IPA This was very disappointing because this won a blind IPA test from this magazine:http://www.pastemagazine.com/article...e-hav.html?a=1) I planned to buy 2 singles before I found it on tap at the bar. The sample made me put the 2 bottles ($1.99 each) back on the shelf. I guess I don't like "white" IPAs. Grapefruit Sculpin was 3rd in the survey, while I found regular Sculpin better...I disagreed with a lot of that survey.

Alesmith IPA One of the better IPAs I sampled. Smooth for 7.3%.

Alpine Duet West Coast IPA...see Alesmith.

Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale...was influenced to drink this from a chat with a racino bartender a few hours earliers. She said she loved it...I thought it was boozy as hell, more like bourbon than beer.

Kentucky Bourbon Old Fashioned Barrel Ale...see above

Rhinegeist Azacca Pale Ale...decent for a session...

Christian Moerlein Altered Pale Ale...see above

New Belgium Slow Ride Session IPA...see Rhinegeist...this might have been slightly better. But overall, no way I ever buy a session IPA...I need higher ABV.

Rhinegeist Truth...had at Reds game...meh Ohio IPA
50 West Coast to Coast IPA... another meh Ohio IPA

Dogfish Head Namaste Witbier...drank because it's Dogfish Head and expensive. Meh, I don't like Witbiers that much. Ommegang's Witte is better. Especially better when it's comped and drinking it with a fellow VMB'er in Vegas! Love TAG Lounge!

21st Amendment Watermelon Wheat...didn't sample, but I regret not doing it because I've heard good things.

SweetWater 420 Extra Pale Ale...got this for gf actually, but it's a solid beer, imo. A less bitter Sierra Nevada Pale Ale to me.

I got a bit of a buzz from all of this.

So after about an hour, we decide we should move on and drive to the top of the loop to get to our hotel in Sharonville. One problem. Car won't start. Shit! I wasn't worried about it dying because by battery was only 2.5 months old; well, I guess that was a mistake! :( And then, we go inside and see if the store can do anything. Nope. Then we decide to beg customers to help. Nope for the first 5 or so. Ugh. Then finally, some nice people help us out. They initially didn't have cables, but I did fortunately.

After the jump, drove the half a mile to Sam's Club where the battery was bought. I should have went there in the first place! Test shows battery is dead. But it also hints at a charging system problem, so now I'm worried the battery alone won't do it. So we go to PepBoys, and they explain that could be due to that idiot not rerunning the test on the new battery. But they charge $18 for me to find out. Grrr. Gf's dad via the phone says autozone checks that for free, and yep, everything is all clear. Thank God.

But now it's after 6 and g/f still wanted to go to the outlet mall. So we head up there and we find some good things. I note that the other racino in town is only a mile away, so it works out for me too! Get a quick bite to eat at Chipotle and go.

    Ad from outlet mall:

Along with a "lucky" buckeye (it wasn't)...they also give $15 free play for new members...sweet! But I can't get anything going, I basically lose the free play in losses. Had a couple more beers, Warped Wing Rye IPA and West 6th St. 6 IPA from Dayton and Lexington, respectively. As a theme this trip, just okay.

G/f hits a few things but not a lot.

I got a Cleopatra Keno bonus...8X my bet for 12 “free” games at double pay...weeeee
    [IMG]

Played this because my family was a dachshund family. Yeah didn't win.

Now it's about 11 and we decide to get going. Good thing we did, because a nice storm with heavy wind was beginning to roll in from the northwest . We made it back to the hotel before it poured fortunately.

Have a couple more beers, including this one to finish the Sculpin trifecta. Holy shit was this hot!!

Drank it, and then you began to feel the burn soon after. Eventually, I needed to mix it with a couple other beers, and it took me almost 2.5 hours to finish! Beers I mixed it with:

Indy beer. Almost bought a 6 pack of it because of the label. Glad I didn't. Mixing it with Habenero Sculpin made it better.

Other beer I mixed with. I liked this one a lot better solo. Would drink again.

Hotel room was the nicest of the bunch (a former Country Inn and Suites), but it's near a railroad, so earplugs are a good thing.

Now go back to the other Jungle Jims for more beer and other sale items...haha Man that place cost me so much in beer.

Now we stop by Big Boy for lunch. This was a favorite of hers as a child, and she's missed it since it closed in the Chicago area. But Cincinnati has a shit-ton of them. She gets a big boy with the sauce on the side. Good thing as she hated the sauce. I get a grilled chicken breast. Pretty good for a diner-like place. Also had to take a pic of these:

Now time is wasting away and I wanted to hit up Hollywood Lawrenceburg on the way out of town. Well, that was a mistake. About a half hour detour. Place is nice enough, and as big as the Bellagio and MGM Grand (150,000 sq. ft) and with higher ceilings!!! But place was dead, and their VP had shit paytables and the machines mostly thad fucked up buttons...Ugh. Also the parking garages are about as far from the casino as possible...bad design there. But it might be because they remodeled it into that huge building?

On the way back, we get a quick bite to eat at KFC in Terre Haute, and g/f is amazed that a buffet exists. I guess she never knew some KFCs had these. But we just settle on a $5 fill-up box of 3 tenders. Darrell Hammond as the Colonel is right; they will fill you up!

And a post trip beer from Jungle Jim's.
Smooth Double IPA, will be buying again if I find it!

And a suggestion from broncofn, Flying Dog Raging Bitch Belgian IPA. The hops do a good job of mellowing out the Belgian character of the beer. A lot better than I hoped since Belgians aren't usually my thing! Love the artwork too!

    _____________________________________________________________________________

We didn't stay home for long because we decide to get back on the road and hit up Tunica the next weekend! Good choice since it rained all weekend in St. Louis, but barely at all in Tunica! We get off to a slow start because I had to do a favor for my brother over an old yearbook pic of a friend. He was going to use it as part of a b-day card for him as he now is his co-worker and they are both graphic designers. But finding my yearbook and getting a good enough pic was an hour long pain in the ass.

This delay plus g/f wanting to shop and such didn't get us to Tunica until 8. Bah. High tail it to Sam's town. Got a little play in. But my favorite bar was full thanks to a live band. Shit. Run to Resorts. Again band at the bar with a $1500 progressive near 100% on Double Deuces. Shit. Finally get a Bud by standing and playing at one of the units. Eventually run back to Sam's. Get a seat now playing 9/6 JoB (99.54%) with the loud band...lol G/f wants to leave near midnight, but Todd the bartender does me a favor and gets me one last Bud Light platinum without asking...haha

Hits weren't good this night...down almost $50. Nothing at Resorts and near misses at Sam's.

    F'ing tease.

Tomorrow we hit up Hollywood first for a slot tourney. Unfortunately didn't win. Then Southaven for some quick food and shopping before checking into the Roadhouse. Check in. For the first time I can remember, someone actually is occupying the room we usually take. So we have to take our chances on a new room. Issues would arise...bah

We go back to Sam's Town because they actually are holding a trivia night where the top 3 teams would win free slot play. Before it begins though, Todd tells me this will be one of its last weeks. Costs them $650/week to run, and doesn't make them shit for money because there is no food to buy and drinks are free at the bar when playing (which I did of course on 9/6 JoB). Unfortunately, there were a few “ringers” in this game, and the guy running the thing was quite chummy with them. My g/f overheard them discussing about the names of drinks, including a “cherry bomb”. Wouldn't you know it...”cherry bomb” was one of the answers.

I also found it funny that my g/f, who is a Disney freak, did not know the answer to that category. Question: 101 Dalmatians, The Jungle Book, and The Sword in the Stone were all originally released in what decade? I knew the answer, which was the 1960s. Going into the final question, we were in 6th, but many teams were bunched, and the final question is a zero to twenty point wager and you lose points if you are wrong for any part. I wager 8, so I would get 3rd if I was correct and nothing else changed.

The question: Put these in order.
Evan Longoria wins MLB Rookie of the Year
Robin Thicke's first Billboard hit “Lost Without U”
Mitt Romney wins 7 States in the Republican Primary
Ellen Kagan was named to the Supreme Court

I had two educated guesses and was only unsure about Robin Thicke. I knew he was probably first or last. I put Robin Thicke last with the rest correctly in order. He should have been first. FUCK.

    Answer:
    Thicke
    Longoria
    Kagan
    Romney

And what sucks even worse, if I had bet zero, which I did consider, I would have also got 3rd. Dammit!!

Fortunately VP won us about $50 that 3rd would have been anyway.

G/f's hit...why couldn't I hit this on the Double Deuces at Resorts!

My first quad of the trip, right before leaving trivia.

Hit up the Fitz snack bar as usual for a cheesesteak.
My drinks cost $8.75 at Fitz. Cashout at one second before 9.

Do the usual VP poker challenge. Who can last longer on $5 at 9/5 DDB (97.87%). I win again. And right before we get up to go, I hit this to be dead even there, pic exactly at 9:45...lol:

We go to play at Horseshoe a bit. I pick up a little money with Ultimate X.
    g/f hits this:

I try a slot machine I never have before at Horseshoe too, nothing doing, and leave for the Roadhouse. Get to Roadhouse, and look for my card. Shit left it behind. Normally I wouldn't care, but it's one of those “Margaritaville” cards. I knew I had one more copy elsewhere at home, but I was thinking I should go get it back. So I did, some guy is playing on it. I say I think I left my card in there. He doesn't think so, but then I ask, so your name is Doug too? He looks again at the screen, sees my name, and yanks out the card. I got 33 Tier for that...hahaha

Get back to the Roadhouse, pick up a beer and win $15 at the bar in the process. Then move over to the 9/6/5 DB Double STP nickels (98.3%). Couple of multiplier hits.

Go up to the room, and wanted to soak in the tub a bit. Unfortunately, we had a bit of an issue. Apparently there was some residue behind.

We call them up, to one, make sure we don't get blamed for anything, and two, get it taken care of. The first guy they sent up was pretty much worthless. Also asked if we would be willing to move. We would have, if there was another non-smoking available, which there was apparently wasn't. We get the night maintenance guy to come by. He knew the exact problem. Someone used bubble bath last time. He cycled the water through for an extended period and it began to go away. But now with the CET assholes extending resort fees to Tunica, we saw this as a good place to get these waived for the inconvenience. But we couldn't get an answer right away because the only person authorized to do it was either busy or on break. After about 45 minutes total wasted, yes, they would be waived.

Overnight, I was freezing to death. This room's vent likes to blow cold air right on your head. So neither of us got great sleep. We debated about moving because of it, but I start pondering what if we cover the vent up with something. My g/f came up with the final solution, which worked pretty well. It still let cold air shoot out parallel to the length of the bed.

Today nothing too special. Eat what we usually eat on a Monday, the Fitz buffet. But they got rid of the special, so we end up showing up 5 minutes before dinner to save $5 per person. Good as usual. Play a tiny bit. Try Cleo II because the forum seems to be in love with it. Eats $5 of 20-cent bets pretty quickly. A little 98.8% nickel Bonus Deuces, meh. Then another tradition, some Texas Tea. Mediocre bonus.

After dinner, we were tired from the night before so end up napping and end up watching some of the game in the room. For the 3rd period, I wanted to go to Bally's for some craft beer. She gets a Lagunitas IPA and I try an Abita Wrought Iron IPA (which I thought was quite good). Her Lagunitas was from a crappy tap I think and she doesn't really want it. More for me at least I guess! They also got rid of 6 taps. :( Soon after we get our beers, we soon find out, the bartender can't change the channel. Shit! So I try to speed up the drinking of both of them. And my luck also turned to shit. Nothing noteworthy on 7/5 Super DDB (98.61%) or Deuces STP (99.19%).

We finally hightail it for the Horseshoe, and by the time I get there, the game is over. Dammit! Congrats to the Hawks! It's been their 2nd Cup that they clinched while we were in Tunica! At the Horseshoe, I decide to have one of their few craft beers that is alright. A Lazy Magnolia Brown Ale. Another $20 gets sucked away. G/f finds a few ultimate x opportunities, but just even. I also sneak in a Smith and Forge hard cider. Good, but pretty sweet for a cider. Then we run over to Gold Strike because she wants to play there a bit. I get the old Tunica standby, a Budweiser, meh. Play a bit of spin poker. Play 3 lines for once to be a bit more of a gambler. I wish I would have bet 6 lines minimum here though...3333A on line 6.

But at least I got this for a $12.50 quad.

Now I run back to the Roadhouse, but not before I notice the annoying advertisement they put on permanent loop outside the front entrance. Gold Strike. Gold Strike! GOLD STRIKE!!! Your MGM Resort right here in Tunica! Shoot me.

Now go back to Roadhouse, and go back to Double STP.

G/f finds this at Horseshoe. Why did it have to be deuces??? :( Two natural quads, one on 5X at least I guess, ugh. And not a single deuce!!! She probably hates deuces even more now...lol
    [IMG]

G/f joins me eventually at Roadhouse, but she wants to play standard 9/5 DDB for nickels instead. So I play next to her for a bit, and it works out for the both of us.

    Dealt quads for me again!

I go back to the Double STP game and hit this.
    Good multiplier.

One minute later, wish it would have been DDB now...

During this time frame, the guy that checked on our tub the night before came down on the floor and saw me and gave me a wave. One thing I like about the Roadhouse, they really seem to remember people more than most places! And now getting close to three, one of the security guards notices my shirt and we chat about the Blackhawks a bit. But self-analyzing my response after I said it, I think he probably thought to himself, “man, he's drunk”...lol Yeah, cut myself off after that and crash for the night.

On the way out we eat Buffet Americana for lunch because Gold Strike was dumb enough to give us $5 buffet credits. Also when at the checkout, the cashier asked if we wanted to use our piddly amount of express comps. This lowered our price for buffets to total $6.66. uh-oh...lol I also think my g/f was pained to spend those few points we had. It took us way too long to earn them. :(

In the end, neither of us won, but I only lost about $60 after tips, so not too bad at all. And has been a trend with most of our trips lately, we didn't want to leave! On the way back, I take a gamble on a Little Rock Double IPA called Diamond Bear “Two Term IPA” (their IPA is called “Presidential”). Rang up $8 for 6, so I took it. But it was past the best by date. Yeah...flat in terms of fruit character. Will drink the rest of it eventually though...lol

And today I finally cracked open one of the beers recommended to me by jpw711 that I was able to pick up at Jungle Jim's. James Boag premium lager from Tasmania. Pretty good for a non-craft beer and a twist-off to boot! But for the money, I would generally drink Moosehead from Canada first as it's the beer it reminds me of the most, at half the price. ;) One benefit though...it's 375ml (12.7oz)! Most foreign stuff is 330ml (11.2oz). :(

Enjoyed your report with the great pics! Sure did bring back many memories. During the Big Red Machine days, spent many weekends in Cincy for fan meets....oh the stories I could tell....lol. Wish everyone could experience Jungle Jim's once in their lives.....such a fun & unique place.

We live in Columbus, Oh and love Cinci. so much we spend a long weekend there about every other month. We were there last month. Next time consider staying on the KY side. We stay in Covington and there are a bunch of unique restaurants and pubs to check out. They are all in walking distance of the hotels. We also stop at Jungle Jims on the way back home every other trip or so!

    Cheers!

Glad you liked the Boag! Nice selfie in the picture too.

Porkopolis: There's a reason for me to go to a Reds game, with a name like that, it's worth a trip.

Banshee looks like a good ride. Wonder if Kings Island has a reference anywhere to the Brady Bunch?

Still trying to set aside a weekend to go back to Jungle Jims, I tell everybody that it is the "Bass Pro" of grocery stores. Pretty cool place.

    Enjoyed it.

Totally agree! It is the "Bass Pro" of grocery stores! Thanks for pointing it out to me! Not sure I would have stumbled upon it with my own research!

As always, great report tring! One of my neighbors growing up went to Xavier and worked on the ground crew for the Reds for a while. My family paid him a visit one time and he took my sister and I (I was about 12 at the time) down on the field. Got to meet a bunch of the players, sit in the dugouts etc. I grew up in NE Ohio so I'll always be an Indians fan.

Wonderful to see a TR on my city!( Actually live in Clermont County) Jungle Jim's is fantastic, and they have the best cigar prices anywhere! There is also The Party Source in Erlanger that might even have a better beer/booze selection that JJs! Good that you saw a win- probably saw Bruce strike out as well- one uncommon, one very common! Good job! GO REDS!
