Family Suites

So it looks like our Vegas party is going to consist of 4 adults. Myself, my 18 year old daughter, my sister and my 20 year old nephew. So need something where there can perhaps privacy or separate rooms. I don't mind sharing a bed with my daughter but my nephew will definitely need his own area.

We wanted to stay at NYNY since we are from Upstate NY. But we would also like to stay at another hotel on the strip that has family suites. Does NYNY have family suites? And what other hotel on the strip is recommended as a family style suite hotel? We wouldn't mind some place like Paris or the Mirage.

Looking for at least 3 bed areas, I guess.

Any suggestions.

I think it may still be cheaper to get to adjoining regular rooms then a type of suite.
Maybe looking into 2 adjoining Hollywood Hip Room Strip View rooms at PH.

 

3br suites and villas are certainly available for the right guests.

But no there's nothing like a family suite.

 

You might want to take a look at the Hilton Grand Vacation Suites at the Flamingo (right behind the Flamingo) and the Elara (through the Miracle Mile mall/maze behind Planet Hollywood). They are Hilton timeshares but can be rented just like hotel rooms via the Hilton website, you just have say no to the sales pitch several times when you get there. My family has stayed at both and been very happy.

They both have 2bdr suites with a full kitchen and sleeper sofa in the common area. I'm not sure if the the bedrooms are all kings or if you can get 2 queens. Not the cheapest tho, IRRC about $400/nt for a weeknight 2bdr, so you could definitely get two regular casino rooms cheaper. I think the Flamingo property is a little less costly and you get access to the Flamingo pool, but the Elara is really nice. Elara has 3bdr suites as well, but I'm sure they're pricey.

The first thumbnail is the common area in the Elara. It's a conventional setup with the bedrooms off the main area and a sofa bed in the common area.

The HVGC Flamingo 2bdr has a common entry foyer with separate entrances to a studio and 1bdr suite off the foyer. The second thumbnail is the 1bdr suite side, which has a sofa bed as well. This setup might work best for you. You, your daughter, and your sister could stay in the 1bdr suite (1 king and sofa bed) and your nephew could stay in the studio side. They each have a private bathroom.

 

Most suites have a king in the bedroom. Often the room is just large, and not really a suite.

Best bet pricewise is to get two regular rooms.

 

The 2 bedroom Hospitality Suite at the Mirage would work for you. It has an adjoining room and is pretty good size. Plenty of space to get away from each other.

 

So who are the right guests?

I would get 2 rooms.. although who's sharing with your nephew?

 

If you are spending, call up Bellagio and get a 2BR Penthouse suite with a 2 queen connector.

That would total:

3 Bedrooms (2 King, 1 with 2 queen)
3.5 Bathrooms
A ton of space
A lot of fun!

We did this a few years ago and had 10 people among the 2 rooms.

If you want to be a little more conservative, you can get a 2BR SkySuite and bring in 2 rollaway beds.

 

I would get a 2br Hospitality or another 2br suite...doing two connecting standard rooms is too cramped for adults and teenage children. Having 6 people sitting on a bed trying to decide what to do for the day gets old...a wraparound sofa and actual dining table and space to walk around while others are getting ready is so much more relaxing.

 

Look for a (couple) Signature unit(s) on vrbo.com.

 

you could check Royal Resort...I personally have not stayed there yet..be going in Sept...and staying one night with a group of 6 women. We have reserved the exec suites...it does not have a casino in the hotel...and its not right on the strip...but very close...and near a bus stop. The exec suites are 2 rooms...one with king bed and bathroom...the other room is a living area with 2 pull out sofas, and kitchen, and bathroom.

It would be easier if you could give an estimate of your hotel budget. I'm guessing that you're not a comped player. Suites tend to be very expensive if you are paying for them. Maybe 1 mini suite and 1 regular room? The mini suite would give you space to meet up and not break the bank.

 

No budget at this point, just comparing and trying to see if this would even be available for us. Kind of just like when we went to Anaheim CA a few years back, we stayed at a hotel that had one bedroom that had 2 queen size beds in it, then in the living room it had a sleeper sofa. And a mini kitchen/dining area.

 

Vegas is different from Anaheim and all other cities in its room rates, availabilty fluxuations, and casino benefits.
You should look at some of the condo conversions rather than a casino hotel as the casino hotels are not set up as Disneyland family destinations. Unless as an adult Disneyland.
Vdara, Signature and the place next to Planet Hollywood all have kitchen condo multi-bedroom setups.
