Couldn't find any posts to see if this information was put out recently. But MLIFE now matches player tiers from other casinos. I was just there this past weekend and watched KA at MGM. They gave me Platinum for my 7* and they also match TR Diamond and you would receive MLIFE Gold. Worked out great as the taxi line was wrapped around the building after the KA show.

They sure as heck need to, but that's not really a "match", since 7* should match to Noir and TR Diamond should match to Platinum.

True. I agree. But they're not obviously just going to give folks Noir and same goes if a Noir player goes to TR, I doubt they would give them 7*. The lady was trying to explain to me that there's no real big difference in benefits between Noir and Platinum and I told here I already know. She was extra nice as she worked for Caesars TR desk for 4 years before switching over to MGM mLife desk.

Is this for new sign ups only? Or can I upgrade my current mlife card?

Not sure. I did it as a new sign up. There were no signs or flyers stating any information. I was just going to just sign up for a regular mLife card but figure I'd give it a shot and ask if they match other casinos player tiers. I'd say give it a shot and ask even if you're not a new sign and see if they will upgrade with tier match.

Is there any benefits to this besides the priority taxi line? I'm guessing they wont be giving offers based on the teir status, like free rooms, that would be based on play still right? Do they have lounges or something else like TR does?

I'm a Diamond at TR right now at about 110k teir score, so would it be better if I waited till I hit 7* or do you think they will up it once again when I hit 7*?

Most MLIFE casinos have VIP check in for higher levels but if you're on an offer you can use "invited guests" anyway. I only ever got as high as gold with MLIFE. Never knew of a lounge. The card was pretty useless for me for the most part.

Too many moving parts to make an educated decision. Don't know if this applies to new sign ups only, or for everyone. Also don't know if this promotion is temporary.

I would base your decision on whether or not you will use any of the mlife gold benefits before you get 7* status.

Also, I'd like to hear from others who recently did the upgrade.

IMHO, this is a "new sign up" benefit, otherwise, they'd be dealing with back and forth every other year.

1)I have several posts on the various benefits of mLife Platinum
2)I have a subjective comparison on TR Diamond vs. mLife Platinum
3)I am converting over from mLife Platinum to TR Diamond (hopefully Seven Stars) this year.

IMHO, benefits at mLife don't really come into play until Platinum, when you can get monthly tickets to the attractions. You can get buffet line privileges at Pearl, and cafe line Privileges at Gold.

That's correct, offers aren't based on tier, but on play. Not sure about the lounges, as I'm also still new to MLIFE. Not sure how long the promotion is lasting.

Thanks Dai. One of the reasons I wanted to switch over or to take a look was due to the information from your posts. Very informative. I agree with you, may just be for new sign ups. But I don't see why they can't do it for current MLIFE members too as long as it's a one time a year thing and then ends. They would only upgrade you once.

I wonder if I would be considered a new member because I signed up for Mlife online and not in a casino. So I have zero points with them. I have gambled at their casinos (mgm, nyny, and others) but never took the time to get a card and I didnt realize at the time the benefits of being a member when I played. Now I know and I always make sure I put in my card.

DaiLun - when you get to seven stars, I'd love to see you summarize the benefits. I've been seven stars for two years now and I'm still learning about new perks that I didn't know about.

Ha!!!! It's still a long ways away. I am (13) 2500 point days away from Seven Stars, and will I will have opportunity, I would need to be very lucky to keep it from costing me too much. However, I will be glad to post once/if I make 7*.

What game do you play (and at what casino) to get your points?

Where did you do this? I was just at the Mlife desk at Bellagio based on this thread, and they wouldn't match anything to my TR Diamond card. Nothing about new signups vs. existing ones, just a very curt "we don't match with competitors".

I play at all Las Vegas CET casinos and play slots from .01 to $10, as well as a little bit of Blackjack and Craps.

Outside of Las Vegas, I play at Harrah's Reno and Harrah's/Harvey's Lake Tahoe.

So I trekked over to MGM, and the woman at the MLife counter had no idea what I was talking about either. But I asked her if it was possible that this was a brand new policy that not everyone had heard of yet, and she said she would ask her manager. She goes in the back room, comes back five minutes later, and says that YES, it turns out this is in fact a brand new policy, and she upgraded me to a gold card for my TR Diamond. So if anyone else tries this, don't be deterred if they tell you it isn't true. Also, I already had a standard MLife card, and this was not an issue.

Awesome!! Glad you were able to do it. So it looks like it's for new sign ups and existing members. That's good to know.
