Well we made it almost five months without a dog. We were looking for one 2-3 years old, but Zoey needed a place to live and I was damn tired of picking up every bit out food I dropped. Lol

She's seven months and a little under weight (dosen't look it in the pics) and has a few bad habits we need to break. But she a real sweetheart, she's not used to all the critters we have around here, they make her a little nuts. But I think she will fit in great. But this will be our last puppy, way to much work.

Congrats to your new addition. I grew up with dogs but I can't have pets in my condo and haven't have a dog in over 30 years. I visit the humane society and say hi to their dogs. Funny because I was never a cat lover (too finicky) but I enjoy sitting with the cats, I may consider having a cat if I ever get a place that allows pets but no doubt I would adopt a dog or 2 if I had a chance (but not sure who would take care of them if I go to vegas or on a long trip).

I also go to my sister's house at least once a month and play with her 5 dogs!! She picked up a couple from the humane society and they had a sister dog so it was hard to break up the set. Add on another from one of their friends and my mom's dog when mom went to the care home (dog was too old to adopt with health issues so probably wouldn't be adoptable) and you have a family with 5 of em.

Thanks eyeryone for the kind words, the wife and I have both had dogs since we were little. So it just didn't feel right around here without one.
She's the exact age our last dog was when we got her, so we know what were in for.

I just can't believe people get dogs and don't know what it takes, to train and care for them. Then give them up at seven months.

Looks like Zoey is one very lucky girl. Our dog died two months ago, and we miss having a doggie around for company.

Let us know how Zoey progresses.

Zoey, you are such a pretty girl and have found yourself a wonderful home!! I hear ya on puppies LVHooked. We have a 9-yr old Standard Labradoodle Buster and on April 11 our new guy, mini Australian Labradoodle Jaxon joined our family. He'll be 4months old in a couple of days and I'd forgotten how much work puppies are. He's really catching on fast though and we just adore him.

Hello Zoey from puppy Jaxon and big brother Buster!

Is the puppy making Buster crazy Bre, he looks a little tired. I tried getting a bunch of different pics, but most were a blur she doesn't slow down till she sleeps. She must have been matted, because they shaved her (crappy job) and left a Mohawk. So she's going to have a bad hair month. lol but she looks good in these ones.

Jaxon does try the BBoy's patience at times.....he's full of piss and vinegar. Jaxon adores Buster though...a funny dynamic. Jax just finished puppy obedience (with me) and we start on level 1 obedience at the end of the month. He catches on very quickly. We have to use the child locks in the car now because the little imp figured out how to open them. I put the window up, he puts it down. When it happened for the third time, I realized it wasn't a fluke. This one will keep us on our toes lol.
Enjoy your sweet girl. A house just isn't complete without a canine companion once you've known that love!
