    My Trip Report

Flight from LB left at 11am and we it landed at 11:55. Got right on a shuttle and got to the check in at 1:30. Room not ready the bags got checked and we and got a double Grey Goose at the new Forum Food Court. Sat at the bar and ordered my drink. Left it and order a sandwich at Earl. Great sandwich and drink. Bartenders there are always cool so we talked a little. Bar was slow but all the eating places there were busy. Casino crowd was med to less. Screwed around on slots until 3:30 and checked on my room. It was ready. A wonderful view of the fountains. Looking out my window they were just off to the left. Went back down, played some more until about 7pm. Went to see if I got get into #9 to eat. No waiting, right in. That's how it was everywhere until Thur. Then the crowd really picked up.{busy long weekend, that's why I went we I did}.
Mon morning had breakfast at Serendipity. I like their breakkfast menu. Sometimes it can take a long minute to get your food but never bad enough to bother me. Walked across to play at Flam, Linq. Then walked down to check out the shops and the wheel. I hadn't done this since it was finished. I like it and thought it turned out real nice. Liked it was better then the front of Bally's for sure. I mostly just played up and down and then night before I left I won here and there about 1k which meant I end bringing home about half what I took to gamble with. Also ate at Hash House whicj was good even if it's not my fav place, it was ok.Also ate at Homestead. Might be best steak I've had and I've been to all the CTE steak places. Will go back for sure. Also only because I had a 4 year old gift card I ate at Ruth Chris at Harrah's. Nice dinner at a nice restaurant. Harrah's was a dump imo. Now I used my RC Balance to pay for all my food but it wasn't until Tues at Homestead the waiter said when he gave me the bill I took the tax off your bill. I had no idea why but just thought wow, how nice so I made sure to tip right. Wed morning I had breakfast at the café by the lobby and it was there she brought my bill after I paid wit my points and she said you owe this tax. I didn't understand. She said oh we can't use your points to pay the tax. I said since when. She said at least a year now. I was at Vegas 7 months ago paying the same way and never once was tax brought up so I'm still a little confused about but in the end, not a big deal. Nice room, great meals and everyone at CP was nice to me. Weather was mild with a little lighting one night. Good flight home.

Now one item bothered me and it shouldn't have. Bothered me for a good 10-15 minutes, then I haven't thought about it until now. At the food court I get a water, around 11pm. I turn and just before going down the steps to the casino I took a pill out of my pocket to take for cholesterol. I just notice as I taking it out of my pocket 2 guys, early 50's and 2 women. I take my pill and then walk down to steps. As I past them the one guy says how are you doing cowboy? I'm wearing shorts, t-shirt and Nike's. The way he said it was nice or a real assbite. Somewhere in between where you think what the hell. His head turns and follows me as I'm waking and I say no cowboy here. That was it but for some reason it stayed with me for a minute. I'm a smart ass with comebacks for everything and I said to myself I'm glad you hadn't had another couple of drinks. LOL All in al it was fun. BTW, used myvegas points for a bellagio buffet for breakfast which was pretty good and a buffet at mirage dinner which was also fine. Then buy one, get one free ticket to see Terry Fator. Got front row and was a really good show. My trip reports aren't much but it my trip in a nutshell. Will go back in Aug and stay at Bally's and monorail to MGM and then walk over to M Bay to the barrett jackson auction.

They get away with it with me. I'm too slow with witty responses.

    Nice report!

Enjoyed your trip report and thanks for the reviews of some of the CET eating places.

Have to agree with the remark that some people just have to be smartasses.

Just curious, how did you like your CP Augustus tower room? I had the same as you last year (had a Forum tower room upgraded to Augustus from a $20 tip) and absolutely loved it! Thanks for sharing...

It was nice. I have also been in the Forum tower. I'd be ok with either.
