I have an easy but odd question.

I am making a dinner res for later this month for craftsteak and am Mlife gold.

We are also staying in a 2BR SkySuite at Aria.

So I essentially seem to have 3 options for reservations.

Am I going to benefit in any way by using a concierge(Mlife or Suite) over opentable?

    Or does it not matter.

    It's dinner.

Only if they're fully committed or you want something special.

Thats what I figured but it's also vegas. Don't know if they have any special locations or anything.

Concierges don't have any special access because most of them use opentable to make reservations for their clients. When they do, you don't get the points, the concierge does.

The trick for vegas is to use opentable yourself and look for 1000 point reservations. You can wrack up points very fast that way.

Quite a few MLife restaurants don't offer opentable points for whatever reason

The higher end concierges (ie not the third party ones at CET) have more access then what shows through Open Table. Plus they are more likely to get special requests like a table location if they're any good at all.

I would suggest calling the Mlife VIP number on your card for reservations. They can mark you for a "better" table than opentable can. Your gold tier should be enough for this unless the place is packed for the evening. Every time I do that I get a great table ie the round booth in the center at Blossom.

Here is my experience. I wanted to get a table at Lagasse Stadium for the NBA Finals, but Open Table would only book 3 days out.

I called the Grazie Desk and they sent me "inside" directly to the restaurant and they were able to book me 8 days out.

Unfortunately, it's $75 minimum PER PERSON to sit in front of the big screen, and since me and my buddy don't drink alcohol, there's little chance that we could get to $150.00.

So, open table is not always the best choice.
