Actually, not a thing......all of the "memorabilia" was pretty much gone, so it was just plain glassware and plates, worn out furniture that certainly wouldn't fit into my suitcase (haha) and large fixtures. I stayed there on the last night and was present when they locked the doors, so I got some neat stuff like 60th anniversary Do Not Disturb door hangars, toiletries, room keys (the staff gave me extra things because they recognized me from my VegasChatter articles).

Thanks for the pics. Very interesting. The hidden pool looks like it was awesome.

Thanks for sharing your pics. I regret not visiting before she closed down. I was in Vegas in March but stupidly decided not to visit.

Some of the pics reminds me of the hotel in Steven King's "The Shining" horror movie.

Thanks again for sharing. Another Vegas icon gone.

Those suites look like they were pretty nice, love the tubs.

Thanks for posting the picts! Sad ending for an Iconic place! I feel like I need a Tetanus Shot after viewing them.
I know I visited The Riviera at least once in the past 9 years. I should to go thru my old photos to be sure.

Thanks for posting these pics. I always look forward to seeing things from your perspective.

My husband and I both looked at the slideshow and felt depressed afterwards. In my mind, the Riviera was still a glamorous old lady. But, seeing that way, it's just so shabby looking. Makes me sad.

Even in its current state, it's worlds above the horrors I saw at Sahara's similar liquidation sale. That was unspeakable.

Would you mind sharing the Sahara album again?

Thanks for sharing. I'm very sad that I never entered the property..... But I did frequent the Stardust and Sahara often to visit family.

I never knew the Riv in its glory, but at least I got a few stays in there during her late years. Same with Sahara. Good kitsch, that place had. It was fun. Hit my first RF there, too.

And congrats, Sam, looks like a thread of yours that isn't destined to going off the rails. lol Thanks for posting.

Thanks for sharing the Sahara pics again. Can't believe that this is ANOTHER Vegas icon that I didn't visit before it closed down. Too many regrets in my Vegas life, lol!.

The picture of the clogged kitchen counter/sink and the dirty bathtub was gross!

Yeah, I'm also "digging" shot #16 with the rotting food in the plastic bags.
I bet that cutting board is worth $.15 less with the stain...

    Thanks for sharing Sam.
