Admittedly, this isn't the most relevant topic for a gambling related site, but after viewing peanut butter preferences, picking coins off the street, and similar posts, I'm really curious how folks dress their hotdogs - particularly regarding mustard or ketchup.

I'm in the camp that considers mustard, yellow or brown, absolutely mandatory. In fact, I wouldn't even consider eating a hotdog without mustard. (I also prefer a little relish, but that's not essential. I don't add onions or chili either, but that's another subject.) I'm ashamed to disclose, however, that Ms. Gecko applies ketchup to her hotdogs, even in public, which I consider a crime against nature! Fortunately, that's probably her biggest sin, so I'm trying to live with it, though it's not easy. What's your preference?

Putting ketchup on a hot dog is committing an unforgivable sin.

Drives my wife nuts because she is purist, mustard & relish and sometimes onions. Me, ketchup unless it a traditional Chi dog that comes with mustard, relish, sport peppers and onions on a poppy seed bun.

Mustard, any kind, finely chopped onions and relish if available.

Once, before an Eagles game, I discovered that one of the stands had the ketchup and mustard jars reversed. It was hilarious watching people press down on the plunger on the yellow jar and see ketchup come out. Funny how getting toasted can provide cheap thrills.

Mustard and a bit of relish. if they offer onions I will have that too. if not its no big deal.

One thing I do sometimes like also is mayo. I know it sounds odd but thats the way I roll.

Mustard (I switch it up between yellow and Gulden's Spicy Brown)
    Relish
    Sauerkraut
    Onions

    That's my perfect dog.

And bread, like with any sandwich, can make or break it. Get a slightly stale bun and it ruins it.

Mustard, Ketchup, relish, and sauerkraut. Yum!

I honestly don't know why ketchup is such a blasphemy. Why is this so? Is it the herding, lemming, or whatever mentality where people just accept that it is this way with hot dogs? So silly.

Eat what you want, and put whatever you want on it. It's yours. Not theirs.

at the risk of seeming like an outcast, ketchup goes on 100% of the time, along with dijon or honey mustard, and............mayo (sorry)

    I always use both.

If I HAD to choose one....it would be mustard.

I think people should put whatever they want on a hot dog. However, I prefer mustard and relish, onions if they're available.

Another addition to the perfect dog ...cooking them on a grill versus boiling....tastes a 100% better off the grill

I think I know what I am doing tonight for dinner

    Potato rolls
    dogs
    yellow mustard
    diced onion
    sauerkraut
    sweet relish

    boom.

Ketchup AND Mustard on mine...yeah just sit me at the kiddie table. Has to be a foot long grilled dog in a grilled New England Style roll. No steamers for me
