Ok guys sounds like we have enough interest for the weekend of Sat 19th

so if that works for you?

    then chime in

we need to know names also I think at some point later on to reserve a table just for VMBers
spectator guests are more than welcome, but lets please keep the players to those that
signed up first and then see if we have room after they assign us a table

also let Myself or Rocky know by PM or here if $1K buy in would make you bow out?
    (update buy in is $500)

this is the link to Luxors policy on reserve/private tables
and the price of buy in obviously goes up on weekend

    https://www.luxor.com/files/casino_general_info.pdf

thanks for reading, let's go have some fun

I'm in for the 19th. I'm okay with the $1000 buy in. What time are you doing this? Have you ruled out PH?
The PDF indicates $500 buy in and $10 minimum. Does that change in the weekend? Their website says $25 minimum.

it says up til 4pm on Saturdays, so no guarantees after that it seems

I'd prefer PH personally, I think their tables are less bouncy

I'd prefer PH......more central. The casino manager mentioned 9pm,but I'm sure earlier may work. I think they open tables at 11,noon, I think at 1pm and at 8pm?

later works better for me, just was following Luxor's boiler plate guidelines

if we have some pull over at PH...I'm in for that

She did mention 9pm, but I can check with her and see if an earlier time is possible. If we just take over a regular table there, it might allow some to participate for less than $1000.
I read the Luxor policy. If you put 10 at the table, I think the table as 14 spots, other non VMB players could join the table. So no real difference than playing at PH.

I am fine with either date but if forced to choose one I would go with the weekend of the 19th.

The way I see it is once we get the list of for sure people then we can decide on Luxor or PHo. I am flexible on time because I will more than likely get in on Friday night, at worst early Saturday AM, so I am cool with whenever.

I would be in for the 19th and can commit to $500 buy-in (it a long trip and if it goes well could do more but don't want to commit to that) - will follow the thread for updates

I'm fine with either weekend, fine with either Luxor or PH, and would slightly prefer $500 but would be ok with $1000 if that's the group consensus. $500 leaves more money for a new pair of shoes...lol.

Depending on which weekend it is may impact whether or not I'm bringing a guest can make it as his work schedule is a bit tougher than mine.

Ok ladies and gents - here are the particulars that we have locked in stone thus far...Frank and I finished up talking a bit a go...

    Where: Planet Hollywood
    When: Saturday Sept 19th

We're shooting for a start time after 1600hrs to give people time to get into town and get settled and for those of us who will be in town time to get organized and meet up at a yet to be determined location within Planet Hollywood.

If you are IN please send both Frank and I a PM

We mentioned the $1000 per person buy in because we believe that to be enticing enough to convince the casino to allow us to do out thing and have it worthwhile for them to have a shot at roughly $10k (assuming 10 people buy in at $1k apiece obviously - too bad for them we have no plans on losing!). However several $500 buy in's could be doable but that depends on what parameters the management at PH sets. Our goal is to make it to where just having the VMB crew is enough action for them and to not allow random players to jump in.

Thanks to Frank and another VMB member (who will remain nameless unless they'd like to identify their self) for the legwork put in to setting this up. You both have done a great job.

As of this moment we believe that we have four solid commitments. As I mentioned if you want to get in - post up in this thread and send Frank and I a PM.

I wonder if they'll play Purple Rain as we rake in the $500 chips??

Why don't you ask Hunter and see if he can make a reserved table at PHo happen?

You should also check the felt you're playing to see if they have fire or feature/bonus bets. I'm not a fan of the fire, but have had success with the all small, all tall, make em all.

FYI Mexican Independence Day is Wednesday the 16th. Mayweather plans to fight the weekend before or after the 16th. So far, it seems like vegas is planning on celebrating both weekends..this is based on the concerts that are going on.
