We have always stayed at the Golden Nugget and I always booked my rooms through a Casino Host. ( Our rooms are typically comped). We will staying at Paris in the fall and I was wondering if I needed a Casino Host at that property or are the Comps for free rooms based on using the Total Rewards card? Also does it matter if we stay at Paris and gamble at other CET properties during our stay?

You're saying you're not booked on a comped room offer and are paying for the rooms right now?

You can see a host at the end iof your trip to see if your play warrants any back end comps. At CET, I think an ADT of about 500 may get you a host. Your play at any Vegas CET property will be the basis for back end comps.you could always contact a host prior to your trip and ask them to check your play at the GN to see if you could get an upfront room comp.

I will give Paris a call and ask to talk to a host. Thanks for the info.

Out of curiosity why would the host @ GN divulge that to a CET host? I would think the second the GN host got off the phone he/she is contacting the OP and seeing what they could do to get the business.

I'm confused - sorry. Are you saying you are using a TR card also & do have play on it? That is normally what the free rooms are based on. You normally don't get a lot of additional from a host vs. booking yourself unless you are a pretty High Roller. I do let my host do my booking as sometimes even if a rate shows on a hotel, he may be able to get that one comped for me. But he can't normally do any higher than the standard 'offers' that go with the room (if there are any available for those dates).

It's a small town. Hosts will know hosts at competing properties. Usually all that a host needs is your name and birthdate to check on your play at another property. It's done all the time. Mlife, SLS, and Cosmo have all offered comps based on my play at CET.

This doesn't address your original question, but I wanted to add what a host might be able to do for you after you have yourself established at the property. They may upgrade your room from what the on-line Total Rewards offers you. And they will attach offers you may already get on-line like free-play, tournament entry, resort credit, etc. My average bet is only $50 to $75 playing long enough to get 1,000 tier credits per day (some people think that's a lot, and some people think that's small time), but the host always upgrades me from a small room to a larger room with a strip view.

I don't believe GN is part of CET.
Here is what I did when looking to switch to CET from MGM.
Contact the host at the property you want to stay.
Let them know why you are choosing them then say, here is what I get at GN, can you give me the same?
The free room shouldn't be an issue and you should get that easily if you are getting free rooms at GN.
If getting FP they may not give you that on your first trip unless you are getting a large amount which they will ask for a copy of the e-mail with the offer.
