I'm heading to Vegas next week for a conference and have my trusty e-cigarette and all the supplies I should need, but I always like a backup plan, so are there any vape shops near Treasure Island. I'm looking for a place that sells the more advanced components (I use a iTaste SVD with an Aspire Nautilus tank.)

In addition, is vaping restricted at all in Vegas? I generally don't vape around other people (unless in the Casino, Bar, or outside), but want to see where it isn't allowed.

    Thanks,

    Scott

I've been vaping exclusively for well over a year. Vaping is allowed anywhere that smoking is allowed. Many dealers I spoke to appreciate the change, since the vapor doesn't smell or irritate their eyes or nasal passages. Now that I no longer smoke cigarettes I found it hard to be near smokers at tables and slots during my last visit. It made my eyes burn.

I ran out of e-juice and found a shop on Charleston near Las Vegas Blvd, but you can find vape stores in many shopping centers. I don't know of one specifically near TI. I think a better option would be to pack some extra coils, juice, and a battery. Then you won't have to worry about needing supplies.

As an aside, I would have assumed that non-smokers not mind vaping, but it seems that they do (even though the worst side effect of being near me when I'm vaping is the slight scent of apple cobbler in the air). I believe they don't understand that we are not smoking. They just see the vapor and assume it is the same thing. You'll still get a lot of the fake coughing and judgmental stares from them, so I would just refrain from vaping in areas where people are not expecting it.

Thanks. I've been vaping now for 3 years now, so I've seen it all. I always pack a full backup kit, but like knowing there is a handy shop available and plus it is fun to shop at really good shops. I'll have to see if there is anything in the mall next to TI too.

Off the subject, but is it just as hard to quit vaping as it is to quit smoking?

I think quitting vaping would be harder, since I fall asleep in bed vaping every night @1.8%

my backup is to bring plenty of batteries, e-juice and cartomizers ( prefer automatic 510's and the traditional cig form factor)
honestly any vape shop near the strip will be a rip off pricewise

Last year there was a vape kiosk in the lower level of Bally's. Didn't need anything but stopped to chat with him. Very nice guy and knowledgeable. He had a nice assortment of tanks & liquids but limited on the batteries.....

Walgreens carries a huge vapor selection in their Las Vegas locations. I know the one connected to Venetian has a large selection. Not sure if the CVS out front of TI carries vapor items.

I don't vapor but one of my buddys who I was with last trip does. We were at a non-smoking table at the Venetian. He originally was doing it at the table and the pit boss told him to stand back when he vapes until he gets clarification if is allowed at a non-smoking table. He came back a minute later after making a couple phone calls and said that Vaping is perfectly fine at a non-smoking table. He said they have gone back and forth several times which is why he needed to clarify.

Thanks for all the information guys and gals. In response the the question about it being hard to stop vaping, I haven't tried yet, as I enjoy it, but you do have unique options to stop vaping (unlike smoking). You can slowly move to lower and lower nic levels in your juice, until it has none at all. All of the vape stores sell different levels, or if you mix your own (like I do), it is even easier.

There's a vape shop in the new marketplace in front of Bally's. There is also a vape kiosk along the Linq walk about 1/2 way to the High Roller.

I've gone from 18mg nic starting out and am down to 4 mg nic. Took me about a year of cutting back on the nic level. I do vape alot. That would be the next thing... cutting down on vaping time.

I've gone from 24mg to 18mg. I started using 12mg, but went back to 18 when I was constantly attached to them at 12. :haha:

I saw something for the first time on a trip (not to Vegas). A sign in the hotel said, "No Smoking or Vaping on the premises" I asked why "no vaping" and the desk clerk said that people think they can vape in a non-smoking room. I said, but the sign on the door says non-smoking, not non-vaping. :) She wasn't amused.

How exactly would a hotel know if someone has been vaping in the room? Is there such a thing as a vegetable glycerin detector? :evillaugh
