I just received a mailer from MB. If I earn 200k in tier points before October, we get a cruise.

It says we fly out to Vegas in October for a party. They fly us out to Fort Lauderdale for a 7 night cruise.

Has anyone done this type of thing before? It sounds interesting..

This is very different than the bulk of cruise offers.

One thing to check though : Are they covering the flight from your home to Vegas?

I did about 250K at Aria last week in just 5 days. I doubt I will get a flyer for a free pastry out of them. Jump on it if you can.

It doesn't say anything about covering the flight from home. We would still have to fly down to Fort, regardless.

    It sounds really cool.

We have been interested in taking a cruise....this might be the excuse to take one.....and finally get back to Vegas!!!

what the casino will cover, what you have to cover yourself. That's the most important question.

Those are the basic questions, that I am asking.

Has anyone done this type of cruise before either through MLife or any other MGM specific casino?

What can we expect on a 7 day cruise in general?

I have only taken the free cruise that comes from being Platinum. Most likely you will have to pay the port fees and taxes, and depending on your dining choice, tips up front. I haven't taken a 7 day cruise - only a 3 day, but I would suggest checking out www.cruisecritic.com for any cruising questions you may have.

Yes, cruisecritic is a great source of cruising information.

As to this cruise, it is hosted and is way different than the free ones that Plats or Noir get. Or from those certificates folks get at CET and other casinos often.
