I have heard that the Palm Lounge (or diamond lounge) at Harrah's NOLA now limits 2 menu items and 4 drinks to Diamond members per party (not person). Has anyone been lately and can comment on this?

Also - I wonder if that is per day or per visit? We like to bring another couple in when we are there.

News to me on the menu items. To bring extra parties usually has to be cleared by a host.

It has been awhile since I have been there but that was not my experience. Loved the fun apps in the Diamond Lounge. You had to order them off a very small menu. Good staging point for the evening.

This supposedly just went into effect a couple of weeks ago. I read on trip advisor that it is the case. Four drinks and two menu items for diamond per party and 8 drinks and 4 menu items for 7 stars per party.

I am 7 star so I can take 3 people in with me.

This started 3 weeks ago and is true...diamond players get 2 plates and 4 drinks per day. You can pay for additional ones I think a plate was running $8

7 stars get 4 plates and 8 drinks per day...

Now they are supposed to have the systems linked up so that you can't goto palm room get 8 drinks, then masquerade, signature or hoodoo lounge and get more...I can tell you this is not the case. You can still get your free drinks there...

I sent Daryll from sevenstarinsider.com a pic of the sign and food menus. They had a new food menu in palm room for 3 weeks, Friday they changed it to a newer menu and now are saying every few weeks it's supposed to change.

i would also like to add that if you have a diamond or 7* companion card and you are not at diamond level. you can get into the room but cannot get any food or alcohol. just soft drinks, water or juice

this is the first new menu, it may come back in several weeks as a rotation

this is the newest menu as of Friday

Thanks NOLASlimm!! I did see the info on sevenstarsinsider. Thank you for giving him the info so he could post it.
Sure seems like a lot of work for the people in the Palm Lounge with keeping up with how many drinks/items you get.

As a 7 star - if I only take one person in with me - can I go in more than once and order 2 items each time? Probably wouldn't do that but may take someone different in the second time.

The servers and bartenders swipe your card in a computer and check of what you get, either or drink/food...you can go in as much as you want during there open hours.

As I said if you use up your 8 drinks, just go to masquerade, signature bar, pirates bar or the hoodoo lounge and you can get free drinks there.

And depending when your there you may see me in there, come say hi...iI'm there every Thursday, friday and Saturday

Previously it was diamond members get 1 guest in the room, 8 drinks and 4 plates per day but they really didn't enforce it unless you were a problem person on non-tipper

7star it was 3 guest allowed with you and unlimited food and drink

I got that vibe when I was there last year. It didn't seem like they were tracking drinks.

    Thank you!

Looks like we will probably go in October or December. Also probably in January. Just a little too hot and humid until then.

Waiting on family to pick the dates, sometime in October I'll be in Vegas for a week, probably at the beginning of the month as I'll be in Vegas beginning of November also.

It's always lots of humidity here year round hot or cold...October it's warm in the day and chilly at night toward the end of the month. January depends, last few winters haven't been real cold and that is coming from someone who hates cold

We were there in mid April, and I want to tell you that the bartender, Jimmi?, was fantastic. He makes great drinks, I will drink almost anything so I let him be creative and I got some very interesting drinks during my 3 nights. You know you have an experience bartender when they straw taste test every drink before it is served.

    Sounds pretty good.
My favorite thing to get used to be the pralines. They were so good and fresh!

lol, too much sugar with me, i get enough through coke and whiskey...i think they are on the original menu which will be back friday

I found out what and why they are changing the menus.

some people complained that they were tired of the same food all the time...they would usually change the menu every so many months removing 2-3 items and keeping some of the usuall items.

so now they are using 4 menus and on each friday they will rotate to the oldest menu, just a big circle of 4 menus every friday.

of course this lady comes in late last night and wants the muffalotta paninis, they told her they have them, but not on this weeks menu so they dont have the stuff in the kitchen to make them...she got mad and left mumbling something...people want change and the old too...cant please everyone

I am going there tomorrow for the first time. I am a diamond card holder. The 4 drink minimum is only for the diamond lounge I assume? I should b able to order anything at the vp bar as long as I am playing? And of course tipping

if your playing tabletops yes free drinks, signature and pirates bar are the only bars with that...masquerade doesnt have machines anymore so if you go to the bar, they may swipe your card to keep track of that 4 drink total...if your in the palm room (diamond lounge) sit at the bar, tomorrow will be jimi and jermmie bartending...get jimi, he may swipe your card at first but if your tipping he will usually look the other way (keep that quiet)..I just left palm room, ill be there tomorrow and saturday, say hi...ill introduce you and youll be good or tell them the drinks on me...

if you see a bunch of frat people "Kappa Alpha Pie" is in town for something
