    This is a crazy story.

The Twin Peaks management is reportedly not talking to police either. The cops had to beg citizens to stop showing up at the scene to gawk at the carnage. WTF is wrong with people? Especially since they kept telling people they fear retaliation and the scene was not secured. They ended up posting up sheriff's, DPS (state cops) and others along the highways to monitor incoming traffic to Waco to make sure more gang members weren't showing up to get down.

And yeah...outlaw biker gangs aren't to be messed with. I mean no gangs should be messed with really but especially the bikers. When I worked for TDCJ and did some gang unit stuff we'd hear and see some wicked shit.

It's a shame that private property had to be damaged and that public funds had to be wasted. But at least no humans were injured or killed.

I'm just a little south of there, and that's not good. I knew there were a few biker gangs around, but didn't think they hung out at the same places unless they're looking for trouble.

Don't mess around with someone wearing a 1% patch. But, buy them a beer like my dad did 1 time in the 60's, and they'll ask you where you want the body dumped.
Most of the time, the guys aren't bad to deal with. Just don't try joking around with them, or you'll get hurt.

Apparently it all started over a parking spot. I thought it was going to be over something stupid like "you looked at my girl". But a parking spot --- glad to know it was over a serious issue. Over 165 in jail -- wonder where they put all them.

It was a pre-planned meet-up of three biker groups....the "purpose" was to discuss "turf" & the recruitment of new members.
That Twin Peaks had allowed bikers to meet there in the past, without incident.
That store has since lost its franchise from TP, and the TABC has shut them down for a week. When they re-open, it won't be as a "Twin Peaks".

PS - this is not a "Waco" thing. It's a biker thing. Bear in mind - they could just as easily arrange a meet near your hometown, so don't be hard on the city just because some asshole bikers couldn't hold their load.

I thought it was BS the way the police chief through the TP manager under the bus. "They didn't kick them out" Well how about you take your gun off your belt and go in and kick 200 outlaw bikers out? Let's see how that works for you? The cops knew something was up, they had swat members on scene ahead of time.

I'd rather be around the biker gangs than the crips or bloods. Biker gangs tend to hit what they'd aiming at. 43 shot in Chicago over the weekend. Haven't heard about that on the news have you?

I'm sorry but I don't understand any business allowing gangs to use their establishments for a summit meeting, whether they be biker gangs for street gangs. If there were such a thing between street gangs, there would usually be clergy and other peacekeepers involved as well as a requirement that everyone disarm before coming to the table. The idea that this was somehow superior because they were lucky that there was no collateral damage is absolute bullshit.

Yall can thank the Banditos for this happening actually, the meeting was between the Angels, Scimitars and Cossacks to discuss turf and recruiting and the Banditos being the little bitches they are, I was friends with the Texas Angels prez Roland in the 80s and the Banditos have had issues since the 70s with the Angels power and size, and they felt slighted since they were not invited to the soiree. Also there have been several confrontations between the Cossacks and the Banidos recentlt regarding the Texas state patch being worn. The meeting was held earl so alcohol was not being served even at the request of the Angels prez. FWIW there is and has been a big biker presence in Texas for 4 decades and the growth of Mexican meth has only made things worse down that way, hate to tell ya but this is in all likelihood the tip of the iceberg as there will be retaliations, just hope only the Dbags get hurt and no innocent folks. BTW way I understand it the manager has family ties to one of the gangs and they have had meetings there many times which is probably why he did not listen to the local PD.

Maybe it's just me, but the whole idea of the biker mentality seems a bit cro-magnon to me. "My patch is cooler than YOUR patch! My bike is louder than YOUR bike! This is OUR turf, not yours! We're above the law and better than everyone else, because we have an oversized emoticon on our backs!"

Whatever....these groups are on the low end of the evolutionary scale.

From what I'm hearing, 8 of the 9 dead were Bandidos... and there is heavy speculation that those are all from police bullets, since it was Bandidos who drew on the cops.

its not just you. we have these biker gangs here causing problems every now and then. they dont only have a cro-magnon mentality but they look like cro-magnon guys too, a lot of them are morbidly obese, and they all look homeless. a lot of them are homeless, we have big problems with bikers squatting in vacant houses and causing problems in those neighborhoods. too bad these bikers in waco weren't better shots so they could have killed each other, instead even though they fired so many shots they barely hit anything. the cops had to do the good shooting.
