My flight was cancelled and I am here for 2 more days, I had 2 free nights at GC Sun-Thur so at least I have Thursday comped at the Gold Coast (Friday at the Cal cost me $116)
and I was wondering if they will be charging me the resort fee or not and if not can I still use the room WiFi?
    Thanks

Based upon my February experience the Gold Coast does not charge the resort fee on comped nights! :peace: ...and you can still use the WiFi.

No resort fee on Comps...plus, I'd check out your Gold Coast rate for today (Friday).
Depending on your play, they may very well waive your room & resort fee for Fri/Sat nights as well.

Unfortunately the Gold Coast and pretty much everywhere else is sold out for Friday so the $116 (using a $25 expedia code) is as cheap as I could find for tonight.

I remember the first time I stayed at Gold Coast, I asked if I had to pay the Resort Fee. The girl said, "Oh NO, we wouldn't charge you anything". She sounded like it would be unthinkable to do such a thing.

I'm planning my first stay at Orleans later this year. Is it the same there and the other Boyd properties on comped rooms?

Has anyone else stayed on a comp offer recently at Gold Coast? It has been a while for us, but I just booked on an offer for the summer. Per usual, it does mention the resort fee in the email confirmation, but I am hoping it still isn't charged. Is this true?

When I was there I was NOT charged the resort fee on my Comp room.

It actually depends on what you book through your offers. Some of them have a charge associated with it (like a VP tournament). If there is a fee, then I'm pretty sure you pay the resort fee.

I know for certain that if there is no fee for the stay, then there is no resort fee... and, depending on your play, be sure to check with a pit or the bconnected desk to see if meals charged to your room can be comped or reduced.

They've taken good care of me, and I plan on returning soon... the trip after this upcoming one, most likely.

Just a plain ol' comp room rate for up to two nights. Like I said, in the past we have never been charged, but it has been a couple years since we have stayed.
