For a quick snack if I am still full from breakfast, I like to eat at American Coney Island on Fremont part of The D. I use the LVA coupon for 2 for 1.

My personal favorites are Dunkin Donuts for morning coffee, Magnolia's or DuPars for breakfast, 777 for lunch and/or dinner, Lanai Express for fast late-night chinese when you forgot to eat dinner earlier & you need a hangover-preventative before going to bed.

My first stop every trip is DuPars in Golden Gate for either the French toast, or the pancakes.
Magnolias isn't too bad either. They're in Four Queens
    Both of them are 24/7
Coney Island is also 24/7, but I haven't eaten there yet.

We've been to Tony Roma's at the Fremont Hotel & Casino 2 times for diner.
The boys loved the burgers and ribs :-D

Give Pizza Rock a try, pretty good food IMO, both take-out or sit-down. It is behind the Fremont Hotel.

Check out the restaurants at the Nugget. I have never been disappointed. Cadillac Grill and Grotto are favorites! And of course you cant go wrong with V&A!

For a prime rib meal I would recommend the Market St. Café in the California hotel and casino. For $9.99 you get a prime rib, choice of soup or all you can eat salad bar and a small cherries jubilee for dessert. For a similar price you can get a prime rib at other locales but hard to beat the salad bar and dessert. Late at night their specialty is the Oxtail soup but they also serve breakfast for cheap prices between 11 and 7 am.

Many breakfast buffets downtown are reasonably priced (usually $7 or $8 for the boyd buffets at MSS and the fremont) if you have a player's card. There are McD's in the D hotel and at the Plaza, good for cheap quick breakfast. Many other eateries for lunch and dinner, it all depends what you want to eat. BTW, there is a Hash House a Go Go located in the Plaza, great for breakfast but huge portions.

for breakfast, dupar's...because if you did hash house a gogo then you would not have lunch.

for lunch, i think going with garlic knots and a microbrew or their draft root beer at chicago brewing co. in the four queens would do, or nachos and a microbrew at 777 in main street station.

for dinner, the triple george, across the side street from the downtown grand.

Dunkin donuts at Freemont Casino for breakfast coffee and donuts of course. Nice enjoyable breakfast while banging on a slot.

For lunch a Hangover burger at Binions cafe.

If you don't mind a short walk from those dt hotels , I highly recommend "Eat" at Carson/7th

Mostly locals go there I,think. Open kitchen. All sustainable and local ingredients when possible. And best of all great food! And service.

    Been there several times.

Will be back in a few weeks.

Dupars is fantastic. Pancakes. Yum. I love 777 in the MSS. They have great variety and the prices are very reasonable. The deli at Binions is FABULOUS and the food is dynamite. I am also still and will always be a fan of Binions Steakhouse. That's just old classy Vegas, and the views are gorgeous. Food and service are top notch.

Binions - do not sleep on their Steak & Cheese. The fries are pretty good too.

I'll 2nd Dupars, 777, and the Triple George. Although the 777 food wise has not been as great on my last few visits.

I had lunch at Le Thai opposite the El Cortez and really enjoyed it.
