    My Trip Report

We are headed to Vegas and I am going to try and post updates and pics. I am a virgin VMB poster, but I have loved living vicariously through the Live TR's from everyone, especially pphold, packer, UCLAgirl, broncofn....just to name a few.

We are headed out on Wednesday 5/13 with my Bride of 20+ years and we will land in Vegas around 7AM!! More time for gambling!! We are staying at the Cosmo, all 4 nights comped with limo transportation to and from the airport. The Cosmo seems to be a lot more generous than CET with comps and perks. We are meeting friends out there on Thursday. I think my wife is a professional VP player. She has been known to log 12+ hours a day at the DDB VP machines. If she is down, I remind her that nobody likes a quitter....and off she goes to play more VP. Last November, she drew on our Marker, but we ended up paying it off after a royal flush and I think 20+ four of a kinds.

Our plan on Thursday is to gamble all day at the Cosmo. I like to play FreeBet Blackjack, Craps (We are meeting up with other friends that love to play the DC. They do everything possible to jinx the table....throw the dice off the table and ask for new dice, short roll, try and hit the others at the tables hands, etc. It should be a lot of fun. If someone has the time, could someone post the VMB way to play the Dont's?), drink beer, some VP and $5 slots in the HL room. We plan to eat at STK for dinner and some Hidden Pizza/Pool time for lunch. The last time we got into Vegas at 7AM, I barely remember dinner and I had promised we would get tattoos if I was up 3K or more. I was up 3K+, but ended up in bed before 9PM. I hope to fulfill the promise this time. Not sure if I will follow through on the tattoo, but I hope to be up 3K+ after day 1.

On Thursday morning, we are going to play golf at Reflection Bay at LLV. Has anyone played at Reflection Bay? I am going to ask our host for a limo to/from the course. I hope it will be comped, but if not, oh well.

On Friday morning, we are going to play golf at Cascata with the other couple that are arriving on Thursday night.

Friday night, the 4 of us are going to see Journey at the HRH. My buddy got great seats and it should be a lot of fun. My wife is kind of excited, but she is nervous it will be cutting into her VP time!

Saturday, we will gamble all day on the strip.

My wife told me she has been "practicing" at a local casino. She "stopped" in last Thursday on a freeplay and turned it into $1500 after hitting a $.25 Royal and a few 4 of a kinds.

Thanks everyone for all the entertainment this past year! I hope you enjoy the TR and pics!

I played Reflection Bay many years ago. It was a nice course with a good layout. I know that it was closed for a while during the economic downturn and reopened in the last year (i think), so I'm not sure of its current condition.
Please include photos and reviews of the golf courses for the golfers on the board.

    Good luck!

    Looking forward to your report.

FYI I read your posts in Schwarzenegger's voice because when I read your screen name all I could think was "get to da choppah"

    I'm weird.

We played Reflection Bay April 27th, the course is in good shape! I really enjoyed it and found it not too difficult but made me think enough (Cap 18 and I played from the Silver Tees), DH said it was a nice course but not worth the price. Price for me is subjective, it depends on my overall experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the day, weather was great, pace was decent and the course was in good shape; plus, we got paired up with a nice and friendly couple, that to me is "priceless"! If you look for my most recent trip report I took a few pictures of the course.

Thanks for the update on Reflection Bay. I agree with you regarding the price ($175) being subjective. We have tried to go cheaper and pace of play is garbage and the two guys we got paired with were still drunk from the night before (which I'm fine with) but not when I'm stuck with them for 6 hours! Tee times and limo are booked! Pics and report to follow!

It's been a good morning... I guess. My bride has hit 6 four of a kinds and is up for the trip. It's only $100 up, but still up. I've played Vp and some slots and am even for the trip. Nap time and lunch at the pool. Don't know how long ill last. The crap tables were starting to fill up and I want to go try the dark side. Only dealers at the tables when we got here. 2 baileys and coffees and 3 ultras so far. Bride had 3 bloody Mary's.

As a side note. The moderator moved this to misc vegas chat last week. How do I get it put back into TR?

    Thanks and pics coming

You can send the mod a PM. Or often times they will move it on their own. Either way sound like a great start!

Day 1 is over and day 2 begins. I am down about $1000 my bride is still even after hitting for more 4 of a kinds. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I lost most of my money at continuous shuffle free bet blackjack. Just drunk and stupid last night but hey it's Vegas and I'll get my losses back in more today. the Darkside at craps was a lot of fun and ended up even.

Up early and ready to go mainly because some guy running a jackhammer had to start at 5 AM on the strip.

Off to reflection day to tee it up!
