I spent the afternoon yesterday with two VMBers I'd never met before, and another friend I met here a while back.

    Good stuff, y'all!

I've enjoyed the VMBers I've met, just need to make something come together for this trip.

    Were any VMB wristbands present?

There were golf swings accomplished and not so much at times, a few birdies, lotsa laughs, many smiles and gorgeous Pacific and Channel Islands views!

That's wonderful to hear. I haven't been too disappointed by any of the VMBers I've managed to meet up with. :wink2: Glad you had a good time!

Yep, it's a scenic spot and a fun course. For having such a long coast line CA doesn't really offer too many such chances to peg it above or by the waves.

I think every VMBer is crazy, and needs lots of help.....that's why I think I fit in so well. Like minds, and all that... well, what little mind I have left that is.

When you think about a golf course -- a few hundred acres of open space with no cookie-cutter enclosed ballpark limitations and often placed in stunning settings -- there is an aesthetic side that is big part of the attraction to most golfers. Stand on the 15th tee at Mauna Lani South, peer up at the Rockies in Jasper, take in the ocean-land interface at Pebble ... it makes the double-bogeys palatable.

Well said. I should have some of those views with no limitations when I go to The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs May 21 for a couple rounds of golf. I will looking at pikes peak and the rocky mountains . I will be doing a TR from there. Anyone live there? Wan to join me for a round?

Wow, that's a great looking course! I had a teacher that grew up in Brewster but I've never been up there.

The last picture kind of reminds me of some holes at Poipu.

Yup, I loved playing that hole at Mauna Lani, since I was playing solo and it wasn't busy I kept hitting balls on the hole. Funny thing is that my first shot was the best of them all, right on the green. The rest were either over, sliced or into the drink.

Yeah, there are lots of nice holes like that one, like the one at Manele Bay, Princeville, etc. etc.
