I know that with mLife Platinum, you get a comp cruise with Royal Caribbean.

If you do, at what level do you get a cruise with TR?

Royal Caribbean only sails out of the East Coast/Florida, and I'm looking for a West Coast based cruise line.

I am supposed to be driving up and back to Reno to pick up a 7 day cruise certificate on Norweigan. It's a Harrahs Reno promotion and a 9 hour drive.

@TIMSPEED - am I hard up or what??

At 7 Stars, you get a comp, balcony cabin NCL cruise. There are certain guidelines..........eg 5-8 days, some holiday dates are blacked out etc.
You are responsible for taxes, port charges, gratuities.
NCL does have California ports of departures.
The NCL cruise certificates given out as promos are usually for an inside cabin ( I wouldn't take a cruise on an inside cabin). You can pay an additional amount for an upgraded cabin.
Some players may receive a certificate for a higher grade cabin, but I assume their play is very high.

Thank you. I see that the upgrade price from inside to balcony is (for the Mexican Riviera) "only" $400.

OK, I answered my own question:

"Unfortunately at this time, Total Rewards card holders are not able to earn or use Reward Credits while cruising. However, Norwegian Cruise Lines offers the Casinos @ Sea Player's Club onboard where you can earn Seabucks that you can apply towards excursions, beverages and a host of other activities while you cruise."

This will substantially change my decision to drive 9 hours for a cruise certificate.

I spent 6 years in the US Navy, so a cruise is NOT necessarily my idea of a fun time.

Also note that the brochure price for an upgrade from inside to balcony is not what Casino At Seas will charge for an upgrade when you use your voucher. Generally, CAS will charge more. I've been told that the brochure prices don't have a lot to do with CAS pricing.

When you hit 7 Stars, you get a yearly NCL as mentioned above. But TR also gives out those NCL certs throughout the year, depending on your play. I'm on the east coast, and if I recalled correctly, I went to pick up 3/4 NCL certs last year at AC and didn't get to use any of them. I'm a 7*, but a few of my buddies that are diamond and plat also get those NCL cert offers every now and then. There was 1 or 2 times LV TR casinos offered it but I wasn't going to fly there just to pick up the certs. And like you, I went on enough "luxury" cruises with the US Navy already so "cruises" don't really excite me neither. BTW, what was your rate and commands? Just got out?

I got a Princess Cruise from Palazzo and I am just a purple card. No status at all. I am taking the Long Beach 5 day to Cabo.
