If you go to Vegas at least 2x/year & are not diamond status (and know you won't be), this could be a good value for you.
$395 (with a referral) gets you the Founders Card membership which gives you diamond status.
Free resort fees, 2 free Vegas show tickets/month (from a list), $100 annual dining credit, VIP & diamond lounge access, free drinks at local casino.
I figured the $395 easily covered the resort fees for our 3 trips this year...so the rest are just perks! (nice perks!)

how does one get a referral? I go out 2 or 3 times a year and this would probably cover the costs just in resort fees.

Has anyone used this card to gain Diamond status recently? I just did so and am curious if the benefit may be updated within 2 weeks as I will be in Vegas on May 1st. Seems to a manual process and I've read anywhere from 2-6 weeks is possible. Just wondering if there's any recent first-hand testimony. Thanks!

OK, so my big question on this card (Founder's) is:

Does your Diamond card come with 15,000 TC on your account and if you play will it go up from there?

Or is just for a player that wants "basic" Diamond privileges?

No, you do not get any TC on your account, but you get all the Diamond privileges (what are "basic"?)--although you won't get the better room offerings that you would earn by legitimately getting diamond status. (although I am platinum right now--not earned, either! & booked us at Caesars Forum Tower for July...)

I signed up last week--I was still platinum when I checked yesterday. I heard it is only taking a week (the site is not letting me log in right now). But I am going the first week of June, so hoping that is plenty of time!

"Basic" Diamond privileges are (but not limited to) the following:

    Parking/Valet
    Diamond Lounge
    VIP check-in
    Discount in the gift shop
Two free show tickets per month

They DO NOT include any of the Aspiration level bonuses

I guess if you are not a gambler and just want the privileges, it could work.

Diamond members get free resort fees...(3 upcoming Vegas trips)
    $100 annual dining credit
Diamond lounges have free drinks & sometimes free snacks (sometimes it is nice to not HAVE to gamble to get a free drink)
Diamond drink free at our local casino (anything less, you pay)

I figure we would be paying more than $395 in resort fees for our 3 trips this year--everything else is gravy.

The last time I was a guest in the one at the local Horseshoe , they had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, salad, cookies, and, of course, an open bar.

Just to be clear the resort fees aren't "free" they are optional. Instead of being required to pay them you have a choice. If you don't pay them you don't get the resort fee services like wifi. If you want those services you still have to pay.

The resort fees at TI and I believe Venetian/Palazzo are optional at CET and Mlife properties, not so much.

From what I have read around the Net it seems the issue some have with it is the automatic renewal. I guess that's a problem if you just want to try it for a year, but it looks like a deal to me if you frequent Vegas and don't fancy yourself a big time gambler (aka you'd never reach Diamond anyway). The $395 fee is a low considering what even a low roller will spend in a trip or two. And if you get the dinner and save on resort fees, it kinda pays for itself. If you just hit the local occasionally and take the odd trip to Vegas...well, maybe not.

That is typical. Originally Platinum got free resort fees, and that means u don't get the services that the resort fees cover. But if u have a smart phone the free phone calls & internet r worthless. We walk all over the strip so don't need fitness center. Plus water is free in diamond lounge (orcheap at ABC Store). I can buy a USA today if I really want one) So services that resort fees cover are worthless to me anyway

The 2 tix to a show a month doesn't accumulate, does it?

$500 seems a bit too rich for me. If they knocked it down to $400 I would be more seriously considering this! $395 plus $95 "initiation."

They run specials all the time where they waive the initiation fee.
If you go in and inquire about the card you will be put on their list and get emails on special pricing

FoundersCard has other benefits. If you're in California, they had a promotion for $400 for opening a bank account at First Republic. That wiped off most of the fees. There are some other worth while benefits on there as well if you travel a decent amount.

Have been viewing this thread and one of the same topic on another message board for a while. I have two CET stays over the next few months so figured this would be a great benefit. I applied around April 22nd or so and got my diamond status yesterday. Stoked for my trip coming up in 10 days with some old pals. Thanks for all the info .
