Semi-Live TR: April 23-26

I'll post as time - and Mrs. Ocean - allow. Penthouse suite at Vdara. Vegas Uncork'd Grand Tasting Friday and Hell's Kitchen dinner at Geezers with Gordon Ramsay on Saturday. Lot of spa time. Pool time. Chada Thai. Lotus of Siam. Bouchon. Usual haunts.

We've started out raising the stakes!

 

Cool, ive stayed at the hospitality suite before but not the penthouses

If there is anything worse than United's slim-line seats ... Man. Butt falling asleep already. And we haven't taken off. Pitch seems more reduced than 30 inches.

 

Fine way to start a trip! Stinks about the seats though...but at least you're going to Vegas!!!

Penthouse suite at Vdara is really nice. Some hiccups at checkin and with customer service to start ... folks seem a little surly around here right now. But a great lunch at Jaleo and a gorgeous day in the desert. Here's hoping to a positive start at the tables before dinner at Chada tonight!

Jaleo is a great spot. Well worth a visit.

Made our way up the Strip tonight and hit Vice Versa, which is a very smartly done renovation of the bar at Vdara. Then to Hyde at Bellagio for happy hour. We had a waitress in training, which was a little awkward, but was just fine. Drinks are excellent there. Views of the fountains are great. Then made our way up to Bouchon and had a couple corpse revivers, which took enough out of us to not make it to Wynn before dinner.

Dinner at Chada Thai, which is just a spectacularly good restaurant. Pics to come after. But a great night. Early to bed tonight. No time at the tables. Hitting it hard tomorrow.

 

Vice Versa is a solid upgrade at Vdara.



Hyde has pretty decent views



My favorite. Bouchon's Corpse Reviver #2. Will be breakfast tomorrow.

Calling it an early night. We usually do night one. Gets us in shape for the weekend. But love this view. Hats off to the Luxor light.
