As part of my TR DAL2 trip, I'm thinking of a return to Atlantic City.

I haven't played there in 15 years and never stayed there overnight.

So, looking at the map, Harrahs appears to be way on the other side of town, which would leave Caesars and Bally's on the boardwalk.

Anyone with AC experience care to comment? The second choice for travel dates would be November at Thanksgiving.

    Opinions invited.

Caesars all the way. The rooms are fairly updated and I recommend asking for the ocean tower. That tower is mostly suites but there are some regular rooms. Stay away from the temple towers. They are small and usually noisy. The centurion tower is also a safe bet if cannot get a suite in the ocean tower. Be sure to check out the seven stars lounge. Get staff and decent food and drinks.

The Casino at Bally's isn't that bad, however, the rooms are horrible. Caesar's would be my choice. I go to AC at least once a month. The Water Club at Borgata is where I stay.

I also say go for Caesars. I go several times a year on junkets from Charlotte, NC. My favorite time to go is the Friday after Thanksgiving.

There is a total rewards shuttle between Ballys/Caesar's and Harrah's so don't discount that. Best Casino and Hotel is Borgata. Harrah's is down in that area (Marina district). Make sure you check that out. It's a cheap cab ride (don't walk it) or take the Jitney over. Jitney starts at Borgata (near the surface lot), and I believe there are 4 routes

If you're considering Harrah's, demand either Waterfront Tower Premium room or a Bayview Tower Premium room. The other two room types are disgusting and are located in the original Harrah's expansion which hasn't updated in years. The Jitney is an option, but it sounds like you want the Boardwalk close by.

If you are going to be there in November it is probably going to be cold, so I am not sure how much time you are going to spend on the boardwalk. Might want to take that into consideration

I'm there 2-3 times a year, and I've stayed at Bally's on account of being comped when I'd have had to pay at Caesar's. The Dennis Tower rooms at Bally's aren't bad at all, if finances are an issue. If you don't mind the price difference, then Caesars is a good margin better, admittedly.

The best information for all CET casino/hotels is www.sevenstarsinsider.com.

He gives you information about all the casinos, hotel rooms, amenities, diamond lounges, etc.

We are going in three weeks on a junket out of Houston.

I stayed at Caesars AC in January and had a wonderful time. They comped me a room in the Centurion Tower for the weekend with a nice view of the ocean. The buffet at Caesars is really good and they have some excellent restaurants like Morton's and Nero's. They also just opened a new Gordon Ramsay Pub. The casino is quite large for AC and they have a separate non-smoking floor, which is nice for people like me who don't smoke.
