What is the best place downtown to play multiple (2-3) $5 hands of blackjack? 4-6 deck shoe. I understand multiple hands do not change odds. It's what I like to do.

This could be tricky. Most places require that you play double the minimum if you play two hands. So at a $5 table you would have to play $10. Maybe there's somewhere that still has $3 tables? I'm not too sure.

Down Town Grand has a $3 table till 11am, they left it at $3 till about 11:45 and bumped it to $5 double bet and you can play two, I like to play two hands also.

I don't know how much luck you're going to have. I think TheCooler is correct. You have to play double the minimum to play multiple spots. That's how i've always seen it. Maybe early in the morning, if the casino is dead, they'll let you play until more people start showing up.

There is a $3 minimum, six-deck shoe game at Fremont that stays open 24/7...last trime I was there, (February) is was still a 3:2 game. This would seem to be your best bet. You could play two-hands at $6/hand... or three hands at $9 each.

Good luck. That table stays pretty busy all of the time.

Why play 2 hands at $10 each instead of 1 hand at $20?

Remember, the odds are against us. That just doesn't make sense to me.

Same expected loss but it's less volatile.

You may find it more fun too.

If you like playing 2 hands just because there is more decision making and more action, you could always find a blackjack switch game also. Played correctly the house edge is better than almost any 5.00 bj game downtown or the strip. It is also fun with many decisions to be made so a little more exciting than regular bj. I know in the morning on the strip you can find it everywhere for 5-10 min. So if they have it downtown you should have no problem finding a cheap game.
