It will be hard to top Vegas and Christmas. Chase didn't want to do this unless he was the "star", he didn't want to be in a movie to "pass the torch" to Helms as the lead but D'Angelo talked him into doing the movie. I'm not expecting much, I may go see it.

I'll go see if but not expecting much either. D'Angelo has had way too much work done by the way....

I'll watch it when it is on TV. Not sure if that will be when it is "pay per view" or on HBO (or a channel like that).

You know what the absolute funniest thing I recall, they played Casino War (to show how degenerates will bet on anything) and it's now a real game in the casino. Wonder if the producers got a cut from developing that game in the movie.

For those who don't know "Casino War" is a single cut of the deck to the highest card and the winner is determined...it was almost like flipping coins...

I like how the "kid's" hair color changes, lol. Rusty goes from blond to dark hair with Helms now being the Rusty character. DeAngelo looks nothing like she did before. I guess she was hanging around Wayne Newton too much with all the plastic surgery

I still remember her shower scene from the first Vacation. She was one of the original MILFs from my childhood. We watched that scene so much that area of the tape on the VHS started getting grainy. :evillaugh

This is a case where they should have left well enough alone - the existing "Vacation" films are all classic and well done...this new one smells like a flop to me, and I hope I'm wrong, because I don't want one of my favorite film franchises to go out on a sour note.

I'm looking at the pic of them, the chemistry of characters is non-existent. I predict this movie will fall flatter than a pancake.

Sometimes, you should just leave classics to be classics.

That could explain why the vacation series has been played at least 20 times in the last month on cable. Still enjoy all of them

Rusty and Audrey, and the other kids (Eddie and Kathryn's) were constantly rotated. They even made fun of it in Vegas Vacation. In the beginning when Clark is stating why they need a vacation he mentions that he needs to do it because he hardly even recognizes them anymore *camera focuses Rusty and Audrey for an awkward amount of time*.

Agree with the low expectations but can't complain. Just hope to get a couple of good laughs and that the wrap it up!

Saw him on the SNL special awhile ago and he looked bad, like serious health problems.

Yep you beat me to it. I don't think he's doing so hot. My father is fortunately seeming to do better than he is...he's a month older and his looks remind me of Chevy before he gained weight.

Beverly D'Angelo, however, is still looking pretty good, imo...

And unfortunately I do expect this to flop fairly bad. Vegas Vacation sucked too overall compared to the rest, but this forum loves it for a good reason... It's Vegas!!! Christmas and Original are definitely the best by a good margin, imo.

He's been that way awhile now. For those of you who have seen the TV show Community, you'd see he's basically playing himself and his age shows.
