We have an early flight for our upcoming trip to Vegas our plane is scheduled to land at 8:30 am PT. We have stayed at the Mirage many times but it has been about 3-4 years since our last stay there. I know better than to expect to check in this early. We expect to be tired so we thought relaxing at the pool with a few cocktails would be a good way to wait until our room is ready. I am assuming they will at least assign us a room and let us check in when it is ready, at least this has been our experience with previous trips to Vegas. Here are a couple of concerns we have with this plan.

    1) What do we do with our valuables and money while we are at the pool? Would the Mirage have a safe we could use even before we have an assigned room?

    2) We would probably be having breakfast and other pool charges. Is there a way to get MLife credits for these expenditures without a room to charge them to?

    3) How will we know if our room is ready? We have been staying at Bellagio the last few trips and they send you a text when your room is ready, does the Mirage have a similar system. I don't want to have to keep going back to the check in desk to see if our room is ready especially since I will be in a bathing suit.

Does anybody know where the casino remodeling project stands? It is supposed to be completed by the middle of May.

I would try to check in regardless. I've been able to get into Mirage as early as 10:30 am a few times. If they don't have a room for you, they will still check you in and will call and/or text you when your room is ready. As long as you are checked in, you should be able to charge things to your room. If not, just get a receipt and present it to the front desk and they'll credit you for the purchases.

You can leave your bags with the bell desk. I've left laptops and whatnot with the bell desk with no worries. If you have jewelry and/or a lot of cash to store, you can ask about a safety deposit box at the front desk.

Even easier, for $30 you can guarantee early check in at Mirage which will guarantee your room is ready by 9am.

I've checked in at 8:00 AM before on a Friday. I've had pretty good luck in general, say success 9 of 10 times before 10 AM.

You don't say what day of the week you are arriving. You will have a better shot at having a room ready if you are checking in during the week than on a Sunday morning.
