First off, this is my first post on VMB. I'll start by telling you a little bit about myself. My name is Rob and I live in Massachusetts. I'm 33, single, and enjoy gambling, craft beer, watching sports, fishing, hiking and anything outdoors. I've been to Vegas 3 times and stayed at Treasure Island and NyNy.
My next trip is booked for Memorial Day weekend Wed-Sun with a good buddy of mine who has never been to Vegas. I have a comped room at Treasure Island for Wed and Thurs along with $300 in FP. I then move to MGM for Fri and Sat with $100 FP and $100 Resort Cred.
I just received an offer from Wynn for 2 free nights and 175 in FreeCredit available for Wed and Thurs. We are both looking forward to meeting some single ladies, partying hard, gambling, sports booking, pool partying.
My question is will the party atmosphere be better at Treasure Island or Wynn for a couple of young bachelors? I know the Wynn is a lot more classy than TI, but we are more interested in a rowdy party atmosphere than extravagance.
Where would you book and why?

If you are looking for more of a party factor, I think TI would a better choice. I have stayed @ both and I know I would prefer Wynn of course I am almost 60, don't move well, and loud noise bothers me a bit, LOL. Seriously though we have walked past and thought both Kahunaville and Gilley's looked like fun happening places. And if you want to check out Wynncore it is just across the street.

Go to Encore. The pools at Wynncore and beach clubs are way better tHan ti. xs is at Encore also as well as other clubs.

Lots of hot girls during the busy hours st Encore. It's generally more laid back. Wynn is more lively. It's a quick walk to either casino

    This is an easy pick.

If you truly want party atmosphere, go to cosmo or ph

Wynncore has the some of the most popular clubs in Las Vegas, with the Encore Beach Club and XS, while TI's clubs are not as well-known. I guarantee you, the party atmosphere at the Wynncore can definitely get rowdy, as I heard it when I was sleeping in my hotel room at the Encore. Attached are two pictures for reference.

It really doesn't matter where you stay at because the Wynn/Encore and TI are so close to each other, unless you intend on getting so dead drunk that you can't walk across a pedestrian bridge. Plus, you're also close to another popular club, Tao, at the Venetian.

That's going to be a pretty big weekend for MDW. You are either going to pick TI or Wynncore for Wed Thurs nights only and then move to MGM? I guess it would depend if you want to only stay on property the two days/nights or venture out some. I do like that TI is right across the street from Mirage, V/P and Carnival Court at Harrahs. That has that going for it. The rooms at Wynncore can't be beat though and you have EBC right there....

I would say you can't go wrong with either choice, especially since its on a comp. I would personally chose Wynn though if you have never stayed there yet.

I'd go the Wynn as well -- and would pull both rooms. Why not? But the Wynn/Encore are hard to beat. Glorious properties, and the observations above are dead on about the nightlife. It's as popular a spot as you'll find. Wynn might be refined and upscale, but there is some seriously fun stuff that goes down there. You don't even have to look that hard for it. I think you'll find your Vegas experience kicked up to the next level. Enjoy!

There is no comparison. The Wynn/Encore trumps TI by far, it all depends on your level of expectation. Both hotels are fun and you'll have a great time at either. It's like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Chevrolet. Both will get you to where you want to go, one is just more luxurious than the other. As for clubs, Wynn/Encore have some of the best in the world, not just Las Vegas.

Best of luck to you wherever you stay.

Thanks for the info guy. I am thinking of double booking and staying at the Wynn. There is actually a Wynn Resort being planned in my state and it would be good to get my foot in the door with the company. Also, it says ask about an upgrade to an Encore Resort Suite king upon making reservation. Is this room doable for two guys? Is there a couch or something in the suite?

Yes, there is a couch in the suite, but it may not be very comfortable if you or your buddy are relatively tall. You would probably be better off just asking for a rollaway bed.

People have mentioned the clubs at the wynn. Doesn't look like XS will be open during your stay. It's not open on Weds and Thurs. Tryst should be open Thursday night though.

I actually thought you were joking when I read the subject.
You don't often hear the two places compared.

There is no comparison.Wynn/Encore it is.
If you can work it that you finish your trip at the nicest hotel, that would be the way to go.
I realize a lot of comp offers are Sun.-Thurs so it may not work.

Book both, live it up, and whatever room has the shorter walk with a lady in hand, it just made your life easier.

I agree w/ the last couple of posts ---
Book BOTH........you might need the privacy if
    somebody gets "lucky".
    *
    Also,
I would stay at the swankier hotel last --
    So.....TI -- then Wynn.
    *
That strip will be swarming on Memorial Weekend -
half of California will be in town !

FWIW, In a book I just read about Vegas...Wynn was actually DESIGNED for people 30-39...
TI was originally designed for families with kids...
    SO, I'd definitely choose Wynn!

Just booked Wynn as well so I have two rooms for Wed and Thurs. I'll sleep at the Wynn and my buddy will sleep at TI. I don't know how I got this offer from Wynn. I basically ran $200 through last trip. Can't wait for this trip, we are both pumped up.

Good choice! Much more comfortable if you don't have to share a room.
