They are not very timely in their mailings, but I just got one today from Downtown Grand. Good April 1 - May 31.

Three nights, $40 in freeplay and a $20 dinning credit.

My brothers are so happy. Now I am quadruple booked for my brothers. Us at MSS, them at Plaza, DTG and 4Q.

Received mine also in today's mail...don't remember getting one for awhile. Two free nights, $20 slot play, and $15 dining credit. Actually not shabby as I only played there a few times last August. I am assuming I will get one also for August when it gets closer. This will be tempting as our August trip will be nine nights. My sister and I vowed after last years trip of splitting our stay between two downtown hotels, that we NEVER were splitting our stay again and would just stay the full time at our home casino...The Cal. However, it would be tempting to try The Grand for two free nights of the nine night trip.....only because it is a downtown hotel we haven't tried and we really did like the vibe of the casino.

I haven't gotten a mailer from them in a long time either; wish they'd send me one again!

Wife and I got ours (each got one) yesterday, same as Northerngirl's. Not bad considering we just used three free nights there in March. I really enjoy the place. A bit of a "boutique hotel/casino" vibe that we haven't found at any of the other 15 strip and casino properties we've stayed at over the years. May take them up on it in May when we're passing through in a motor home. I called and they don't have motor home parking, but called Main Street Station and they do for $10 a day.

Got mine yesterday as well. 3 nights, $40 free play, $20 dining. I haven't gambled there since the week before they opened. They seem to send me sporadic efforts twice a year or so.

Got mine today for 2 free nights and I only played $40.00 in Oct. Leaving Sunday but I'm comped at the d, so probably won't use it.

Got mine today also, 3 free nights $50 free play and $20 food credit. Gonna book it for May 3,4 and 5th. I like the DTG but it is kinda a slow, kinda boring casino. But the rooms are nice...

I lost their love. I got 2 $80 free play offers for the months of August and September 2014. I booked my trip (@ the Fremont) for Aug 31 to Sept 4. I took advantage of the $160 in FP, and that was that. I've seen very minimal offers since. I really wanted to like this place but it just seems lifeless and boring. There is nothing that makes me want to spend time there. I returned DT for 3 nights over Christmas, and I did not even walk over to DTG on that trip. I generally play VP and some penny slots stuff. Their poker machines are not setup in a way to make playing fun (Think Cal, MSS or ElCo). Their slots are all cutting edge 'new school' games that all seem to have low paybacks. If they setup an actual VP area and put in some classic old school slots I might consider DTG, but as it sits, DTG is not for me.

    That's great, Joe!

Would you disclose what kind of play you did to get these offers? Did these offers come about after one trip or several trips?

I'm thinking of giving them some play, and see if I get any offers. I want to mix it up a little, instead of always staying at the Cal or MSS. I stayed once at Fremont solo but I don't think my wife will like it when we go together.

Last trip was about an hour of $1 bartop VP. It was Feb, so I earned enough points for two boxes of Valentine chocolate also. Back in Dec, maybe a total of a half hour, or 1 beer's worth. My brother and SIL really like the place and the pool, but they are nickle players, so I've been making a point to stop each trip and give them some play in hopes of a room comp for them.

Awesome. Maybe on our next trip my wife and I will give them some play and see what happens.

    Thanks!

    Merlin,

The resort fee has always been waived on our comped rooms, most recently last month. They change policies so often I can't say for sure now.

Resort fee isn't charged on comp nights, or paid nights if you had comp nights that visit.

We haven't gotten a mailer in awhile, but but they have a smartphone app that gives us free weekdays $39 weekends and $20 free play and $10 f&b.

We're low rollers 5-10 black jack quarter VP and my wife plays penny slots $5 at a time lol

I received my offer yesterday (wed), and called them today (thur) to book for May 3,4 and 5, sun, mon and a Tuesday. They told me they were all full for this offer but I could pay the best available rate. WTF ??. Bait and switch ?? I think I'll call back in a cpl days and try again but I don't like that practice.

My offer was only for April through May. So I checked today to see how much to add June 1 to my 3 comped nights. A Monday and I thought a little steep at $39 + tax, but then they add the resort ripoff fee of $20.34 on top of that.

Thanks for that information. 8-5 Bonus seems their top game according to VP Free. Have you seen anything else with higher EV?

Yep, same here. I received a mailer sometime while we were in San Diego last weekend for comp nights/FP/DC good April 1-May 31. (I like how they mail it DURING the offer period.)

I called yesterday (the 8th) to book April 16-19 (to double book since we are staying on a comp at Bellagio) and they said they were sold out of comp rooms for my dates. Yeah, okay. We earned enough points one day for a dinner at Triple George in November, but that was it. I don't see us going back there.

    Dewey,

Correct. 8/5 Bonus is the best they've got. That's the only VP we play there at the quarter or dollar level. We'll also play some crappy pay table nickel stuff there like triple double bonus because the really high volatility can be fun if you're not risking much.
