Just booked 5 nights at the Cromwell and have never stayed there. Any info on the hotel and property would be very helpful.

Small hotel....excellent drink service and a great restaurant (Giada), but I'd make a reservation as soon as you can...

Thanks GChrome. I actually made the reservation for the 7 star signature event in August. I usually stay at Paris and have stayed at CP, Bally's, Flamingo, Rio but thought I would try Cromwell. The only negative thing that I have heard is the noise from the street and the nightclub. Any ideas on how to avoid the noise?

We stayed late last year and didn't have any noise issues from the street or the nightclub. We had rooms facing Ballys.

Liked the property, but probably wouldn't stay there again. In the spirit of service you call to get ice (for instance) as the door on the floor is locked. Limited food choices except for Giada. Great location and if you are playing excellent drink service. Plus the hotel is relatively quiet during most of the day.

Only negative on the rooms are that they are very dark...almost impossible to read.

    Have a good time.

I made my reservation at Cromwell for the signature event as well. I typically stay at Caesars and have stayed at Paris too. I heard lots of good things about the Cromwell and I like the location so thought I would try it. I already booked Giada's for dinner....I have been there twice before and it is wonderful. I also selected the Mob Museum, cooking with Martorano's (however just found out it is sold out and they are trying to add more dates) and Rod Stewart as my events while there. Should be a fun few days!

I haven't heard anything lately about the noise being too bad but I'm guessing with Drai's on the roof, it can definitely get there in the summer. The rooms are smaller than the usual rooms on the Strip but all nicely decorated and such. One of my favorite casino's to gamble in..has a bit of the Barbary Coast feel to it to me still. Wasn't a big fan when they renamed it to Bills..

We did almost the same thing. I tried to book the cooking but was told they were sold out and instead booked the wine and painting. We booked the mob museum too - it is only 30 minutes. We should see each other then.

Thank you AZBOB and BCmike for the info.

Also thanks VegasVic for the helpful link.

Wonder if the rooms have a safe?

I believe it's in the dresser near the bed (bottom drawer pull out that opens upwards).

We are doing the Mob museum next week........we did go online and for a extra $10 each we get a guided tour of the joint. If you are interested in doing this you MUST pay in advance and reserve your time and date or you can't join da group. Also online tickets can save you $2 per person for the regular entrance but again $10 for the guided tour.

Yes I am sure we will see each other. Have you tried Giada;s yet: My husband and I have been there twice and it was really nice. We don't get all the appetizer stuff...just the pizzette and a entree and some sides. I booked it the other day for August. I usually would not do it that early but since I was taking care of everything I figured I would. It does get filled up rather quickly.

My host told me they are trying to get additional times for the Martorano's since it was such a big hit. If they add some times he is going to try to get us in. If not I will probably do the chocolate desserts. I look forward to seeing you on the mob tour. Now to go check out the link that was posted above about the Cromwell. Have a wonderful day!

Thank you for the tip! Please let me know how you liked the tour. I would love a guided tour but since the casino is sponsoring the event we will have to follow whatever they provide. I do hope it is a guided tour.

The Mob Museum is really cool, but allow it some time, it's pretty big and has lots of info.

Where is the Mob Museum? Is it downtown?
