I was playing slots at Bally's this past weekend while in Vegas for March Madness, and I was approached by a host. He introduced himself and gave me his card. Has this happened to anyone else? Does this mean I now have a host assinged to me?

I am by no means a 'High Roller', but I did play enough over three days to earn platinum status. I have another trip already planned in June, staying at Harrah's on a fully compd weekend. Should I reach out to him and see if he could possibly upgrade me for that weekend? His business card states he workes at Bally's and Paris, but I assume he could help me out at any CET property.

Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

it means you can call him to set you up next time if you want.

yes, you can ask him for an upgrade for your next trip or whatever else you want.

Hosts there work both properties Bally's and Paris. He can book you into any CET property in Vegas. They used to be able to book you into any CET property, but my understanding is that is only Vegas specific now. If that particular host books you in 3 times, you will be coded to him.

You will be coded to him after your first booking with him if you don't already have a host codes to you. The 3 bookings is only if you are coded to someone else.

If your 1st impression of him was good I would definitely book with him. He will more then likely give you some nice upgrades for your first booking,

Are you sure about that? My booking earlier in the month was my third booking with Hunter and he told me that I would be coded to him after that trip. I never previously had a host.

And to answer OP's question, I was approached by a host at the Linq in March. She walked up to me at a slot machine and asked if I was Corey, which I was, and we talked briefly with her telling me to stop by the VIP service area if I wanted to chat more. As I'm already with Hunter, I never stopped by.

Someone must have been codes to you. After a certain amount of play you will be automatically coded to a host. For years I was coded to a host I had never met or even talked to.

My info came from Hunter. The credit for a new player after 1st booking is why you will always see him on the floor running around when the concerts let out.

I hope Hunter gave you some extras on your 3rd booking. ;)

I've been approached by hosts while I'm playing at a property other than my home casino. They just stop by introduce themselves and ask if I need anything. I've worked with the same host for 5 years, so I don't think they are trying to poach. I'm 7 stars, so I think it just generates an alert..........no big deal.

    I think so too...

I told Hunter about her when I met up with him because I was wondering if he was switching me to her, with the Linq being basically my new home base and Hunter working out of PH, but Hunter said he had no idea about it and to just go through him for everything, which was the plan all along!

With that said, I'm not a HUGE player, so I was surprised I was even approached. I average somewhere around 4,500 and 6,000 TC per 4-day trip, which isn't much compared to many
