Grand Canyon

is the grand canyon trip worth doing?

 

Well, if you're into mom nature at all....absolutely. It really is something to see and just seeing it can be enough - trip to bottom as option, helicopter ride over, etc etc. IF you drive, first pull -over and look over spot to stop - do it. Damn near takes your breath away. The copter ride over and set down for a snack (maverick had this). Really cool just don't do it middle of summer. Damn hot getting back in and coming back.

 

Its awesome but make sure you do the south or north rim. The west rim is were the helicopter tours take you and although its nice, its not nearly as spectacular. Plan on spending at least a full day in the canyons and it would be nice to have accommodations close by so you can enjoy the sunset as well before leaving.

 

We took an overnight trip to the south rim and definitely worth the trip. Got there right at sunset and it was picture perfect, spent the night in Tusayan, cute little touristy town. Had the option to go back the next morning. It's about a 4+ hour drive, but definitely an adventure worth taking. But beware of the weather when you go there, it is usually cold so make sure you pack accordingly so
you can enjoy your time there.

Well worth going to see.We done the trip by helicopter,boat trip on the Colorado and the Skywalk,it was fabulous trip,highly recommend.
