That's good news. Genting is supposed to be opening a preview center probably on the south end of the Strip. It's really an easy walk from FSM and Encore. When i go to Vegas in June i'll probably check out the preview.
When you look at the property on Google with a high view, if it extends all the way south, which i presume it will, Resorts World is basically across the street from Encore. I don't think Stardust went that far south.
Usually once you get past the Mall, the herd really thins out going north on the west side of the Strip. Perhaps we'll see some foot traffic walking up to the preview center.

IIRC, there were going to be two preview centers, one on the north end and one on the south end of the property.

Waverunner, I'd be very surprised if the preview centers are open even by June. However, I'll be out in late May and will be excited if I just see evidence that the centers are being constructed.

Yeah, the one on the south end will be at LVB and Resorts World Drive. Which is just after Encore on the west side.
If the preview center isn't open by May or June, i still plan on walking up and taking pics.
I think Genting will build the preview center sooner rather than later. Genting must realize that Resorts World is being built on Stardust property, which hardly has any foot traffic compared to Mid-South Strip since most of the North resorts are gone, and soon Riviera.
They need to make the general public aware, especially tourists and newbies, that a new mega resort is coming to an area close to Encore. Most people don't travel up past Wynn/FSM.
Genting needs to get the word out, perhaps at Fashion Show Mall, where people do walk around, maybe with a booth with brochures, signifying that Resorts World will be coming just up the street.

    Waverunner,

Unless I am way off base - Resorts World will end at Echelon Drive. South of that is the parcel next to Trump - directly across from Encore and that is the parcel where Elaine Wynn's nephew, Andrew Pascal (the former COO of Wynn Resorts) is planning on building another resort (in partnership with Crown Gaming of Australia - I believe). That WILL be fun to watch. :D

That's funny...the day after the Riviera closes. Ah, Vegas. Something old, something new.

You're correct. Elan is the working name of the Crown resort right now at the old Frontier site. I can see overpass pedestrian bridges being constructed across the Strip between Elan and Encore, and then another bridge across Echelon Drive between Elan and Resorts World.

Yeah, my bad. I very rarely go to the North Strip anymore since the Stardust closed. I went up there in 2014 to check out SLS using the Deuce bus.
Genting really needs to get the word out as soon as they decide to have a preview center. That area is deserted but once the construction is back on board, people need to be aware of what's coming.
Does anyone know when the Andrew Pascal's resort is getting off ground?

The purchase of the property by Crown and Pascal was announced last August. The press release indicated that the company hoped to break ground in late 2015 and complete the project in 2018. They've also added some Wynn alumni, including Rob Oseland, who also got SLS opened. But no renderings are out there to my knowledge.

I wish they had named it something else. It's too beautiful for such a generic name of "Resorts World"!

Very very nice indeed. I love the Pagoda style bridge walkways to the opposite side of the Strip as well as across Echolon Rd. and Convention Center Dr.
