It's def. a great scene, but I fortunately haven't got that bad of a feeling as Clark has. The first 8 hours of my Sept. trip is the closest I've got to that feeling so far in Vegas. Hit nothing at all. Thank god the whole trip didn't end up that way, or I definitely would have hit the ATM!

God, I love Wallace Shawn. What's funny is that he's known as sort of a gimmicky actor always playing the same part (Vegas Vacation, Princess Bride, Clueless, etc.), but he's also a phenomenal playwright and comes from a big-deal literary family (his father, William Shawn, was editor of The New Yorker for about 35 years).

He co-wrote My Dinner with Andre. Not sure if it was originally written as a play but it feels like one. That was a great movie. I didn't know that about his dad. Very cool.

I think it was just a film (and set just a couple blocks from me), but it stemmed out of his theatre work. And his father did some phenomenal stuff, including supposedly being the driving force behind Hiroshima being published as a full issue. He's both incredibly smart (and a good writer), but also completely ridiculous as an actor. Rare to find guys like that.

Exactly how it was this past trip.
Check-in but room not ready so head to the Top Dollar machine, put in $100 and within minutes down to $0.
Damn, was hoping it would last a bit longer.

As soon as the plane lands? My first five minutes is spent looking out the window of the plane and then all the people in the aisle and thinking "So close! But its going to take 30 minutes to get off this thing!"
