Macker's Bachelor trip to Vegas is only a few short months away, I guess about 10 weeks at this point.

Gaggles has maintained his independence thru multiple 29th birthdays, and its ironic his much younger sidekick is falling first. It's like Yogi losing Boo Boo, or vice versa, i'm not sure.

What advice can our VMB experts give Macker as he heads into this new chapter? Can he expect his Vegas addiction to survive? Will he still be able to breastfeed gaggles? Will Mr. Stabbs make another appearance? Will the Bachelor Party Trip (most staying at Caesars) challenge The Hangover itself in debauchery and shenanigans?

I hope Gaggles gets the same room he pee in the last trip.

Wish I can make this but too far in advance for me to plan.

Looks like fun. Looking forward to this.

Marriage always resets financial priorities. Throw in a couple of kids and disposable income goes right out the window.
Your nights of drinking become hanging out in the driveway / backyard of other neighbor friends with kids, or the friends who have kids in
    soccer with your kids.

Macker can pretty much kiss his free wheeling Vegas days goodbye, except for that lone yearly trip either with the wife or guys.
If not then marriage will pretty much implode in the first 5 years. The one exception is if you are marrying as much of a complete gambling degenerate as yourself.

My first marriage lasted 6 years, of which trips to Vegas ended promptly after the trip to the altar. Zero money was allocated towards gambling,
Instead financial resources were used for SUV payments, mortgage payments, new furniture, baby shower gifts, home remodeling projects, lawnmowers and yard tools.
After 6 and 1/2 years of misery, an expensive divorce, I got smart.

The second time around I wised up. Had a long dating relationship (6 years), and took the GF to Vegas multiple times. Priorities were reset, and I made sure that Vegas trips
would not be a problem during the second marriage. Oh yeah, and no more kids.

Better make sure what the life priories are gonna be, so there are no surprises.

    Sounds like you was whipped!

Marriage and Vegas don't have to be mutually exclusive even if you don't marry a degen.

No they don't, but it's a pretty common tale. You could substitute the word "golf" or "fishing" etc.

Just saying marriage resets priorities. Trips to Vegas or any other hobbies generally fall to the bottom. Less than 10 percent of my friends maintained the same lifestyle post marriage. Those that did are on their second marriages.

    Of course things change.

But things that are important to either of you need to remain priorities.

There's only one thing worse than wishing you were married

and that's being married and wishing you were single.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I've been married coming up on 9 years with a 5 yr old and 3 yr old. My Vegas obsession has grown the past couple years and I should be able to make 3 trips this year. The first two are guys trips. I might be able to get her to go on the 3rd, but if she's not down I'll go with guys. The key is finding someone who doesn't want to control every aspect of your life. We have a mutual understanding that she gets to do things that makes her happy and so do I. Not all those things involve eachother.

All depends on the woman he's marrying. My wife loves Vegas as much as I do, and I have a better time with her than without.

Life priorities absolutely need to be agreed upon before marriage - especially whether or not you want children!

With friends like Beeejay and Gaggles, I cannot see Macker completely forgoing Vegas, ever. Just the ribbing he would take would implode his marriage LOL. Really looking forward to this episode of shenanigans and the buildup in the weeks before it should be classic!

Is it really morally wrong to "embezzle" from your own bank account?
I have learned to successfully steal away funds into my "vegas" account to keep it funded as needed to pay for trips, and miraculously I seem to at least break even trip! (or so I report!)

Hey, my trips to LV keep me happy, she realizes that and me happy keeps her happy, and hence I get to go, so it all works out (for me anyway). Can't tell you that doing this is ethically ok for anyone else, these are my own demons, but sometime y'a got to do what works!

    Good Luck to Macker!

Looks like I will be at Caesar's same time as you guys...! See you then!

I really really hate that my bachelor party is so close to this. Hopefully mine can somewhat compete.

I find the secret to a happy marriage is she has no knowledge whatsoever of the finances.

All she knows is the credit card goes through when she's at the store.

Works beautifully for both of us.

I'm lucky ... I've managed 2-3 trips a year at least since getting married. It's tough to juggle, but I prioritize it!

No advice to share - but I'm expecting the trip report will be one of the most entertaining of the year!

I told my fiance ahead of time that if a piece of paper and diapers interfere with my Vegas trips, she might as well go ahead and cancel the wedding now.
