What is the strangest reason you have gone to a show in Vegas?

This showed up in my email this morning:

The first thing I thought was… Why would I not go to this show, look at that guy!

I have no idea who Pepe Aguilar is and I don’t care, but I might have to go to that show.

Am I crazy for thinking this or has anyone else gone to a show in Vegas that they would never go to anywhere else?

I almost did years ago. A headline magician was dating Pamela Anderson Lee and she guest starred in his show. If I had know for sure she would have performed nude, I would have been there!

To keep my wife from incessantly busting my chops while we're in Vegas.

I'm too riled up when I'm in Vegas, shows aren't my favorite thing. But my wife loves them. Since she puts up with my quirks, she deserves that I at times to defer to her.

I did truly enjoy one particular show, however. We saw the Temptations & the Four Tops together in one show at the L.V. Hilton some years back. They were great.

Strangest reason ?..........for my wife ?
    *
But I HAD TO PUT MY FOOT DOWN !......at going to Celine ( Caesars ) -
"Honey, I'll wait right outside the theater, here, playing VP at this bar."
    My wife goes in.
The whole time the bartender ( washing glasses in front of me ) is visibly shaking his head +
    muttering to himself.
I ask him "What's up with you ?"
He says...still shaking his head...."If you heard how many times I've heard your EXACT exchange
with your wife.....You know why I'm muttering + shaking my head."
    I LAUGHED LIKE HELL !!!!!!

Toad the Wet Sprocket at HOB @ Mandalay Bay....(same night the Stones were playing at MGM) February 2003.
I had won the guitar used in the recording of Dulcinea (my favorite Toad album), and I told them that if the band would agree to autograph the guitar, give me a ticket to the Vegas show & let me attend the pre & post parties, that they could save on insuring & shipping the guitar to me.
    Amazingly, they agreed!
So - I actually took time out my normal gambling routine to attend two parties & a Toad concert!

I've been to a few. When they perform locally to us my wife will go see Michael Bolton with her girlfriends and Kenny Rogers with her mom, I've gone with her to both of those in Las Vegas because she didn't want to go alone.

I've seen shows in Las Vegas that I would go to locally, but they've never came around: Sarah Brightman, Type O Negative, God Module

That'd all be musical acts. For performance type shows, IE: magicians, show girls and comedians, I've gone to some in Las Vegas thanks to free tickets, but none of those hold enough interest for me to see locally or in Las Vegas if I had to pay for them.

Not in Vegas...but in Reno, I went to see Englebert Humperdink (free via mailer) just to hear him sing "Lesbian Seagull" (From Beavis & ButtHead movie)
He didn't, and we were sad :(

I was "dragged" to an Elton John Concert at Caesars about 6 years ago by the wife.
Weird, at times boring BUT... He started slammin' on the piano, screaming out "Ba ba ba Benny and the Jets!!" I f*cking loved it!

The blonde bimbo at the naked show at Planet Hollywood. I can't remember hardly any of it, except the boobs.
