Looking for good discounts on admission to the tower at the Stratosphere . I have found tickets for $13.50 on Best of Vegas. Has anyone used these before? Are there any better discounts available? Not looking to do the rides, just the observation deck.

Exactly what we did last week. You need to go to the Top Of The World booth and not the queue for the observation deck. There you say you are going to the Lounge for drinks. Happy hour is from 16:00 (when the lounge opened) to 19:00. We paid $20 for two cocktails and a coke with tip. Save ourselves the $18 each.

Thank you for the information! Does this give access to the outdoor observation deck as well, or just the lounge (I'd imagine this is only enclosed?)?

Once you're in the lounge you can go right to the rides or observation deck with no extra charge.

I believe the American Casino Guide has a BOGO coupon for tower admission.

In addition to the American Casino Guide there is a 2-4-1 in the LVA book. Sounds like the best play is the happy hour suggested above. At least you get more than just an elevator ride for your money.

My trip is over, but I'm curious as to how you get to the rides/deck from the Lounge? We took the elevator to the Lounge, but it has an attendant and seems to only go to the Lounge or back down?

I had to agree on going to the Lounge... also, I was traveling with two people who were afraid to go to the observation deck so paying in advance or trying to justify the $20 for what may have only been a couple of minutes of a view was a little hard to do. We didn't hit the Lounge during the posted happy hour times, but the specials were available regardless. FYI for anyone reading this for a future trip, the 2-for-1 drinks come as 2 drinks per person and aren't split (of course, unless you drink the same as someone in your group and only one person orders the drinks).

It was cocktails, well drinks, and shots but not beers. Was there 2 weeks ago.

Once up there you can easily access the rides/observation deck by either the stairs or elevators. They have elevators designated to only work on the upper levels.

Does anyone know if there is a dress code to go to the lounge? Are shorts, a t-shirt and flip flops acceptable?
