I rebooked a flight/trip for 4-19 thru 4-24 at the Four Queens. I was perusing Fremont street using street level google maps and saw the check-in entrance to the hotel. I am assuming we drop our bags off there and enter the lobby to register. Do I tip the bell boy that takes our bags when we get dropped off and also tip the bell boy who brings them to our room?
Iv always just tipped if they brought them to my room or when I picked them up. Not sure if this is proper or not.
You dont need to drop them anyone if you dont want to. just wheel them up with you to check in and up to your room.
I've stayed at the 4 Queen's numerous times but don't ever recall a bell boy coming to the cab and offering to take our bags. Unless you have a ton of luggage and go in search of a bell boy (I usually see them standing around the front desk), I would just take my own luggage when checking in.
Anywhere you stay, Valet will call over a Bell Man upon request. I say, you're on vacation so go for it. As for the OP, YES. You tip everyone, even its $2-3.
The traditional way is to just tip the guy who delivers to your room when you arrive, and the guy who ends up at the port cochere when you leave. Because of the volume and size of Vegas hotels, on arrival, it's usually two different people. The guy who takes your bags on arrival will often kind of hang after he gives you your ticket, implying that you're supposed to tip him. It's your call whether to split the tips or not. I've flip-flopped on this, for a while I split the tips but now I'm back to just tipping the guy who delivers, because for sure, he's expecting one.
Thanks all. If somebody takes our luggage when we exit the taxi, I'll tip them...and whoever gets the luggage to the room. If not, I don't have a problem wheeling 2 suitcases to the room. The more I check out Fremont street, the more I think we will like it. I intend to visit the strip but I think the 'closeness' of the happenings on Fremont will fit us better.
