You'll find lots of threads about this on VMB. But a quick reply from me is:

If you're comfortable traveling alone then you'll be fine.
    Eat at the bar

Ditto re: lots of threads. Bottom line is that solo trips can be great. I think good planning and a loose itinerary is important to so you can take full advantage of doing different things you night not normally do if were there with friends.

My last two trips and my current planned trip are solo. I enjoy going solo, I do not have to conform to anyone else time table on what to do, where to eat, what time to eat, when to go to bed if I go to bed. As for places to eat, never had an issue, but then again I do not go to the fancy places so I cannot help there. I make a trip to the buffet, eat at a food court, hit up something we do not have here back east, maybe a pizza by the slice.

As for meeting people, its easy to do. You can do that while sitting at a bar, blackjack table, poker table, in a club, at the pool. I will be there in June, whats your dates?

I'm leaving in about 6 hrs. and I will be solo. This will be my 4th or 5th trip solo. I"ve found that in Vegas you're never alone. Lots of people to talk to and socialize.

Enjoy yourself and relax. You're gonna have a lot of fun! Hang out at the bars and play table games. You'll be surprised how many people are solo just like you!

My advice would be to plan a lot of things, but not a strict schedule. I travel solo many times. When you need to take a break from gambling, look on your list and do something from the list.

One thing that you can do to spend a day is in the morning walk from Treasure Island to Mandalay Bay, stopping at each casino along the way, Have lunch at Mandalay Bay. Then walk back on the other side of the strip, from MGM to Encore.

Spend an evening Downtown, you can take the Deuce (bus) down there. See the Fremont Street Experience.

Make sure that you have fun!!!

I have really come to enjoy solo Vegas a lot. In fact I try to take two trips a year solo and two with friends. The nice thing is, you're not beholden to anyone's schedule except your own.
    Eat at the bar.
See a show (gives you something to do and some direction.)
Go downtown. It lends itself to solo people because there is so much close together. You could even get a room for $30-40 on a whim.

If you're there for 8 days and you like nature then rent a car and drive to Red Rocks or Valley of Fire.

I go solo a lot and I don't let that stop me from having a great meal. I will usually eat at the bar. I have all my dinners at high end restaurants and have never felt out of place.

I just got back from my first solo trip and it was great. If you don't mind being by yourself you'll love it. You can do what you want, when you want, without having to please anybody else. Almost every restaurant has a bar which is a great place to eat when you're solo.

I really enjoy my solo trips. My last TR was a solo trip. I enjoy dining at the bars and always meet great people. If you are even a little bit out-going you will find that meeting new people in Vegas is the best part. There will be a lot of suggestions on what to do on your own ... I would just add, be open to meeting others as you are out and about. It is the best part of Vegas.

My last 2 trips have been solo, and so is my next. I have to agree with everyone here. It's nice to not have to play stuff for everyone. I try to see 1 show, and eat at 1 nice place per trip. It breaks up the trip, and saves some money. :)

And, if you're winning, then the people at your table usually cheer as well. And, if you happen to do a live trip report, it's like the rest of us are there with ya.
