I have a host at Cosmopolitan and regularly am comped 1BR suites up front for 3-4 nights. Rarely get freeplay or dining credit, but by the end of my trip, $400-500 in room charges are usually wiped off, too. I play almost the same level and time at Bellagio when I'm in town, but never seem to have any MLife offers for rooms there. My next trip (1/25 - 1/27) is a short one, but if I'm not getting a lot of benefit out of my play at Bellagio, I'm thinking of taking that effort to Wynn or somewhere else. My Questions: 1. Am I better off calling/emailing a host at Bellagio to see what they're able to do for me? If so, any recommendations for a host that would be helpful at my level of play? 2. If I stop playing at Bellagio, is there another property that would likely comp me at a similar level to Cosmo? My biggest concern is the free rooms. Thanks for the help, and let me know if you need more info about my betting to give me a more complete answer.
To answer your questions people are going to want to know your "level of play" (ie: What do you play, average bet/time etc). CET hotels historically have been the easiest group of properties to get comped rooms...
Agree with Chrome. Can't make recommendations based on your play if you don't tell us what your level is. That said, give Bellagio marketing a call or stop by there on your next trip. If you have a host at Cosmo giving you free rooms and food, you can probably expect the same at Bellagio. I have always found my Bellagio and Aria comps to be more generous than the comps I get at Cosmo. That said, I would skip Wynn. Love the property, but if comps are your primary motivating factor, you will do better at Bellagio and Cosmo. The comps I get at Wynn have always been tighter than what I get at those other properties. Good luck!
My Aria host always gives me better comps than the standard MLife offers. On your next trip, stop by and ask to talk to a host. It can't hurt.
Call and ask. Sometimes you have offers that you do not even know about. Or, the host wants another player at your level and will find something.
Just as other have stated, call and ask. I was able to get an offer from V/P matched at Wynn. All I did was call.
Thanks for the help. I play blackjack at $200/hand and craps at $250-400/roll. I'll stop by and check at Bellagio when I'm there this weekend.
My Aria host gave my 14 nights at SkySuites Tower (regular room) and a daily 150$ FC. My MLife offer is 3 nights and 450$ FP... easy to choose!
I just can tell you what I play, not what they expect. My daily bankroll is 1k and I only play slots. I play usually 'til it's gone and if I don't hit big. Make about 300-350k tiers per trip.
Amazing that you can get that high of tier with a $1k daily bankroll. Really amazing. But, if you are earning that many tier with that much coin in, they should be offering some nice stuff. And you should have a fair amount of EC earned as well.
You've seen, that it's always a 14 day trip? So there are a lot of swings during my gambling, playing between 4-10$ a spin and if'm doing good, up to 25$ (or if I'm getting tired). My EC's an PP is about 2,3k altogether after I used a couple of hundreds for my last bill. Like my offers from my hosts. Used to stay 7 nights at MB in a Sky View Suite or at one bedroom suite inside 4S with a 100$/daily FC and (back-to-back!) another 7 nights at Aria inside SkySuites Tower in a regular room with 150$/daily FC. This time is the first time I'm invited to stay for 14 nights at Aria for the same conditions. Maybe offers are different for non US-residents!?
Have you checked your Mlife account online? I get room offers from Bellagio in my Mlife account and via email for less play than you, however I only play slots and VP.
It looks like that because its a 14 day trip. 350k TCs is $105k coin-in on normal slots, over 14 days that's $7500 coin-in per day. Pretty much what you'd expect on average since he said he plays the $1k until he loses it or hits big. That works out to ~13% hold.
Sorry, to ask about this, but after the coin-in calculation, I'm out. What is my average? Is it the 7,5k? What means 13% hold? Do you think I'm over- or undercomped? I'm pretty happy with my comps at least, don't get me wrong, but what would I get at other properties? A year ago I had discussion with a host at the M, which I met on my trip before. I declined her offer, because she offers me just three free nights and wants me to pay for the next 4 and no food credit or free play. She would decide about more comps after my trip. A host from Cosmo offers me a terrace suite for seven nights, but I don't like the casion there. Never thought about TR or V/P. Would like to stay at Wynn/Encore, but I think, they won't recognize my little gambling. Thanks!
At MLife you get 10 TCs per $3 coin-in on normal slots. So 350k TCs is (350k/10 * 3) = $105k coin-in. Since that is over 14 days you are averaging 105k/14 = $7500 coin-in per day. That makes sense, you said you play 1k per day until you either lose it or hit something big, so if you lose 1k that means the casino hold was 1000/7500 = 13.3% which is roughly where it should be on average. I'd say you're comps are fair. You probably generate around 1k of daily theo which means up to $400 per day in comps which includes your EC and PP. A regular room at Aria in the Sky Suites, $150 daily RC, plus your PP and ECs easily meets that.
Thanks for explaining it to me. As said, I'm really happy with my comps. I think like almost everyone (not the whales here ) I have an almost fix bankroll for my trips including airfare, room, food, rental car and of course gambling. So, if I get more comps, I can gamble more. The worst thing about that is... I'm getting addicted to not paying for food and hotel. The only thing what seem to make a difference to my comps, normally my RC was adjustable, so it was more a weekly than a daily rate. On my last trip I hit it big (10k) and my host "wasn't able" to do adjustments. That's wat ECs are good for!
