I am sad. Leonard Nimoy, AKA Mr. Spock has died at 83 from end stage COPD. I've been a Star Trek fan since I discovered the original series when I was 13. i will have to watch some of my copies of the series and movies in memory of him.

Watching the original Star Trek series when I was 7 years old piqued my interest in science, space, and the concept of space travel.
    RIP Mr Spock

A very sad day for someone like myself who grew up watching reruns of the origin Star Trek.
As I started reading more about Mr. Nimoy in the past day, I was pleased to learn so many wonderful things about the man that I never knew before. Here is one: he was born and raised in Boston, and he apparently never forgot roots. (From his Twitter account).
