Just thinking...dangerous when I do that sometimes, but, what determines my message board status and at what point do I earn a second countdown timer? I'm at the Tourist level but have been a member since 2009. Funny I remember different labels before now. If it's not time, then is it merely the number of posts? Maybe it's the number of threads started? At times it feels like I could chase the status here like chasing status at MLife or CET. I get the association with the casinos...low-roller, high-roller, whale etc. Again, just thinking..it really doesn't matter since I enjoy the board especially during those sometimes agonizingly long gaps between Vegas visits, I live vicariously through everyone's posts, so I thank you.

I was actually thinking the same thing the other day.. and, sadly, it never occurred to me to ask. I am an idiot sometimes. :)

    Thanks for asking...

It's based on amount of posts right? Hell, I've been registered since 2002 before they even had Internet lol and am still not even Platinum. Hoping for a DIAD day lmao.

    You need to post more.

Not sure, but you may stop being a tourist after 100 posts.

    DeMoN is right:

    0-9 posts = Newbie
    10-99 posts = Tourist
    100-499 posts = Low-Roller
    500-999 posts = High-Roller
    1000+ posts = Whale

I get weird when I start tinkering around in the settings. I blame the tequila!

There is an entire section about ADMIN. Check it out there. You will find that Sonya has to put in lots of work keeping this thing going. I have done a similar board with a much smaller group. Always a challenge.

Sorry for the double post. Didn't think the first one processed. I'm really not trying "stuff the ballot box" with posts. Oops, no politics...learning.

The really cool part is when you reach whale status, you can actually change your title from "whale" to whatever you want! It's an awesome feature!

That explains some titles. Fun idea.

Thank you for pointing that out! "Whale" is sometimes a very derogatory term for a woman!

I've never thought of that but I can certainly see your point. I didn't know about this feature of changing one's title and it seems many members were unaware also.

I thought you had to ask admin personally.

Or for anyone, really, regardless gender. But I think here, on a gambling board, the meaning is unmistakeable.
