Fun game but different game. So different strategy. Always hit 12. Always hit 13 except with 4 cards or more against 6. And much much more. Wizard of odds page attached.

Yeah, different strategy. Spanish 21 doesn't have any 10's in it and when I've played in the past, has different payouts..like getting a 6,7,8 21 for example.

I haven't actually seen it around lately. The only place I used to see it was Excalibur but it has been a few years since I've really looked.

Only place I saw it much was V/P, they had a few tables back in September. Haven't really seen it elsewhere.

Spanish 21 is an awesome game, better than blackjack when playing in AC. The Vegas version isn't as good, apparently there its all H17 plus some other rule differences I can't remember. But its a popular game in AC and offered at every casino with fairly liberal rules.

As posted above the strategy is different and more complicated than BJ because besides just some hands being played differently there are hands played differently depending on the number of cards out, etc. I haven't memorized it and don't care to. I keep a printout strategy card stuffed in my wallet and leave it right on the table while I play. I'm a fairly conservative player in any game and the good thing about Spanish 21 is that it's in some ways a more aggressive game than BJ since you double much more often....so its basic strategy calls for more aggressive betting. I play the game a lot and virtually everyone else I see playing it just plays with normal BJ rules and loses more than they should.
