Just returned from trip Host gave me these numbers.

    23 hours of play

    loss $ 4301.00

    theoretical win $4567

I have no idea what this means I have played for years just never had a host give me numbers before any help would be great. Most of my play was at Caesars Palace. I always get free rooms our last trip we received $700 free play. Thanks for any info.

Doesn't mean anything without a context.

You had a theo of ~4500

You should expect to receive 30-40% of your theo in comps.

    Confusion to say the least.

"loss $4301.00" means you, the player, lost that much money,
"theoretical win $4567" means the casino (NOT you!) won that much.
So the two numbers matched pretty well. And the host was happy with your action (and particularly your loss!).

Yeah, "Win" is a casino term referring to how much they won off you, not how much you won off them.

So what the numbers are saying is: you actually lost $4301, but in theory you should have lost $4567... so you came out a little bit ahead of the house edge on the game(s) played.

The numbers your host gave you were:

    So what that means is:
--> you played for 23 hours.
--> while playing you lost $4301
--> but if you went by house edge alone, you should have lost $4567

    Now I agree with this.
I can imagine the host was very mad with OP because OP didn't loss enough (should be $4567).
What the host tried to tell the OP was like this: "unless you loss another $266, I am not going to comp you anything." LOL

Not to hijack the thread but I have a theo quetion. Last trip, playing Video poker mostly, I had over 9000 TC not counting bonus. That would be over 90,000 coin in so it the theo about 2% of that for VP?

I don't think the casino will give you %2 theo on VP. 1% would be very generous.
