Will be heading back on March 14 for a four-night stay. First night will be at the Four Queens, so we'll be hanging around Fremont that evening, as our flight doesn't arrive until 9:15pm. I know we'll be hungry, so anybody have a good restaurant recommendation for the area? Nothing fancy, just looking for a decent meal.

Landshark .... You've got a good, basic diner right there at the Four Queens ... "Magnolia's". A wide variety of choices in their menu.

If you want something with a little more fun (and noise), try the "777 Brew-Pub" at Main Street Station. Never had a bad meal there.

I was going to suggest Pizza Rock as well but it's a bit off Fremont.

You could also try the Chicago Brew Club at 4Q's, it has good food. Also the diner on the 2nd floor of The D is pretty good too and has lots of variety. It's a bit pricey compared to others downtown though.

Try 2nd St. Grill in the Fremont Hotel. It's a casual fine dining restaurant that makes great steaks and seafood with an Asian twist.

The prices are in the 20 to 40 dollar range and above for main entrees. They make killer rib-eye steaks and I love their ahi steak done medium rare with an amazing sauce.

Ooops, edited after re-reading your post. The restaurant will be closed when you arrive, I think. Maybe you might consider it on another day.

777 at Main Street Station would be my choice. Pretty good bar food and microbrews.

Le Thai in Fremont East has great chicken pad thai...albeit a bit expensive.

Heart Attack Grill could always be fun if you're feeling adventureous. The meat and fries are cooked with pure lard. Take your meds first!

At the other end of the FSE, Hash House A Go-Go at the Plaza is a great place to pig out on massive portions of awesome food if you're starving. Try the Andy's Sage Fried Chicken Benedict....mmmmmmmm!

Triple George, right next to Pizza Rock, directly across the street from the DTG. Excellent steak house.

Heart Attack grill is fun..and the burgers are REALLY good. You also get a spanking by a busty nurse if you don't finish it!

Like nearly every restaurant in town, you can wear whatever you want into the Triple George. Last time we were there jeans would almost qualify you as being overdressed. You'll be fine whatever you wear.

The wife and I celebrated our 25th last October, stayed at the 4 Queens. Older and perfumey, but clean AND inexpensive. We got in late, weren't famished, so we split a sub from Subway just past the elevators from the main desk at 4Q. Magnolia's is open all night, I think, their food is family diner quality, decent for the price. The best breakfast buffet for the next morning is hands-down the Golden Nugget buffet. Giant glasses of OJ, not the usual shot glass of orange water and a dirty look if you ask for more. Omelet and eggs to order station, cakes and waffles, lots of fresh fruit, plenty of meats to choose from, huge selection of pastries, and very good coffee. You can't go wrong there.
Denny's is down at the eastern end of the canopy, standard fare. We stopped in late one night for pie at Pop-Up Pizza in the south end of the Plaza casino, verrry tasty and not too expensive. Market Street Cafe at the California was school cafeteria food at best, not worth the trip. The Garden Court Buffet at Main Street Station is good for the price, but will be closed before you arrive downtown. Didn't try the Coney Dogs at the D, which is about 50 feet down Fremont from 4Q, but they were busy. The 777 at MSS has a late-night menu that includes sandwiches, burgers, and some breakfast items. Very good, its a nice walk over and back to stretch the legs. I guess it all depends on how tired you are after getting settled in your room. Enjoy!
